  • Patent number: 9575005
Abstract: An apparatus for inspecting a stream of matter including: a first and a second light source for emitting a first and a second light beam; a first and a second detector; a first scanning element adapted to redirect the detection area of the second detector from side to side across said stream, and a beam splitting element arranged to receive said first and second light beams, after they have been reflected against said matter, wherein said beam splitting element is adapted to guide said reflected first light beam towards said first detector and to guide said reflected second light beam towards said second detector.

  • Publication number: 20100185319
Abstract: The invention relates to a device and method for separating bulk materials with the aid of a blow-out device provided with blow-out nozzles arranged on a fall section which is disposed downstream from a conveyor belt. The blow-out nozzles are controllable by computer-controlled evaluation means according to sensor results of radiation, which penetrates the flow of bulk material on the conveyor belt, and emitted from an x-ray source and captured in the sensor means. The x-ray radiation, which passes through the particles of the bulk material, is filtered into at least two spectra of differing energy ranges before the radiation is captured by local resolution with the aid of at least one sensor means integrated within an energy range.

  • Patent number: 6696655
Abstract: The invention relates to a device and a method for blowing out metal fractions from a stream of bulk material that is conveyed by bulk material means. The device comprises blow-out nozzles which are located on a drop section, and which are arranged along a width-wise extension of the stream of bulk material, for blowing against individual particles of bulk material in order to modify the trajectory in such a way as to produce a second sub-stream that branches off. The blow-out nozzles can be controlled according to the sensor coil scanning results relating to the bulk material particles. A plurality of sensor coils is provided underneath an essentially horizontal section of the stream of bulk material in the form of an LC oscillating circuit. Said sensor coils are provided for detecting the eddy currents that are induced. Optoelectronic means are also provided for determining the blow-out position and for determining the location of each of the particles of bulk material.
