  • Patent number: 4633077
Abstract: There is provided a photoelectric switch in which a beam reflected by an object to be detected is received in a trigonometric manner so that any failure in the distance measurement of the object can be prevented with employment of ordinary amplification circuit for received-light signals without enlarging the figure of the dynamic range of the circuit. In the switch, a circuit for comparing the ratio of the received-light signals to a predetermined operational level includes means for setting the nearest limit point for a set range of a detecting area to be farther than an intersection of the projected light beam with a line connecting centers of light-receiving lens and received-light detecting element so that the detection of the object can be made even when the dynamic range of the amplification circuit is saturated, whereby the presence of the object in the detecting area can be always discriminated even upon the dynamic range saturation of the amplification circuit.

  • Patent number: 4541702
Abstract: Automatic focus adjusting device comprising a range finding means which generates a signal corresponding to a distance to an object to be photographed; means for setting a photographing lens to a position corresponding to the output signal from the range finding means; a primary judging means which judges whether or not a diaphragm setting is within the range in which fixed focus photographing is possible or not; and a secondary judging means which judges whether an output signal from the range finding means is at a level capable of operating an automatic focusing means, wherein the secondary judging means judges only when the primary judging means judges that a diaphragm setting is not within the range in which fixed focus photography is possible and the automatic focusing means is operated only when the secondary judging means judges the output signal is at a level capable of operating the automatic focusing means.

  • Patent number: 4441810
Abstract: A range finder for measuring the distance of an object to be measured by the steps of radiating the spot light to the object, forming an image of the reflected ray of light by image forming means and measuring the distance of the object from the output of an element which is disposed at a position substantially corresponding to the image forming position and of which output varies in accordance with the light-receiving position on the light-receiving surface. PSD are used as the element. A focussing detector which includes a semiconductor position detection element PSD placed at a position corresponding to the film surface in a camera or the like and detects the focussing state on the basis of the electric output from the semiconductor position detection element PSD.

  • Patent number: 4217043
Abstract: An automatic focus control apparatus for a camera lens which includes a fixed and a movable optical system, each adapted to form an image of an object to be photographed on a respective photosensitive means. The movable optical system includes a rotatable mirror movable successively in opposite directions, in the first direction at a high rate of speed, and in the second direction at a low rate of speed simultaneously with lens adjustment. Signal processing means compares the signals provided by the photosensitive means and stops the lens and operates a camera shutter during movement of the mirror in the second direction when a maximum or minimum output signal compares with a selected maximum or minimum output signal generated during movement of the mirror in the first direction.

  • Patent number: 4080613
Abstract: A motor driving device for a camera is provided in which the motor is placed in an energizing circuit which includes a governor. A switch is provided in parallel with the governor and is adapted to be operated by a relay. When the switch is opened, the governor can effectively control the speed of the motor in order to prevent overrunning of the film during the winding operation. When the switch is closed, the governor is short-circuited and the motor can run to wind the film or control exposure.

  • Patent number: 3936187
Abstract: A distance measuring device comprising a flood-light projecting means having a flashing device adapted to direct a flashlight to an object to be photographed, a light receiving means incorporating a light slide rheostat disposed at a predetermined distance from said projecting means and a lens adapted to allow light rays reflected from said object to impinge, in the form of a beam, on the light receiving surface of said rheostat, a converting means for converting the variation of the resistance amount of said rheostat into the variation of voltage and an indicating means for indicating said voltage variation, particularly useful in photographic cameras. Also, an automatic focusing device having the same constructional features as the aforesaid distance measuring device, except that it has an objective lens adjusting means operated by said voltage variation instead of said indicating means.
