  • Publication number: 20220323790
Abstract: A particle therapy system includes: an accelerator that accelerates a particle beam; an irradiation system that applies the beam accelerated by the accelerator to a target; and a controller that controls the accelerator and the irradiation system. The controller has a treatment execution system that generates a control parameter which controls the accelerator and the irradiation system based on a treatment plan and has a treatment execution controller that controls the accelerator and the irradiation system based on the control parameter generated by the treatment execution system. When irradiation to the target by the irradiation system is suspended due to a failure or an artificial manipulation, the treatment execution system calculates an irradiated dose of the particle beam and an unirradiated dose of the particle beam, and the treatment execution system delivers at least the unirradiated dose to the treatment execution controller.

  • Patent number: 10293183
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a particle beam treatment system that can realize the reduction of treatment time for a specific patient, compared with treatment time in a conventional type. A control unit of a control system controls a beam routing system and irradiation devices so as to maintain the occupation of an accelerator when a certain treatment room of plural treatment rooms once occupies the accelerator except intentional operation to release the occupation of the accelerator or the occurrence of system failure.

  • Patent number: 9215791
Abstract: To reduce the number of steps of generating control pattern data needed for achieving beam irradiation with desired energy in the beam extraction from a synchrotron accelerator, a data generator 41 divides adjusted control pattern data, defines the divided data intervals as data modules, and reuses each of the data modules to generate new control pattern data. For extraction energy level changes, which are characteristic of multi-energy extraction, energy change control pattern data is generated based on the extraction pattern data before an energy level change and the extraction pattern data after the energy level change by using an interpolation function thereby to allow the control pattern data to be automatically generated. Effects of residual magnetic fields are calculated in advance, and then adjustment values that allow for the effects of the residual magnetic fields are incorporated into the control pattern data and operation is controlled.
