  • Patent number: 6827098
Abstract: The first seal seat is disposed in a first passage of a case. The first float valve body is disposed in the case and closes the first seal seat in response to the liquid level of the fuel. The second seal seat is disposed vertically above the first seal seat, in a second passage of the case. The second valve body is disposed on one side of the second seal seat communicating to the outside of the second passage, with being resiliently urged upwards from below. The second float is disposed in the case and regulates an upper end position of the second valve body to open the second valve seat in response to movement of the liquid level of fuel at least until the liquid level is higher than the liquid level at which the first float valve body closes the first seal seat.

  • Patent number: 5564466
Abstract: A negative pressure cut valve disposed between a feed pipe and a forward pipe includes a main body having a first outer wall and a second outer wall, an urging spring provided on the first outer wall, a diaphragm provided on the main body and actuated by the relative action of the force of the urging spring and the inner pressure on the feed pipe side to produce an opening action in the state in which the inner pressure on the feed pipe side rises is above the inner pressure on the forward pipe side and a closing action in the other pressure state, and a valve provided on the main body and actuated to produce an opening action in the state in which the inner pressure on the feed pipe side falls below the inner pressure on the forward pipe side and a closing action in the other pressure state. The first outer wall has a first atmospheric vent formed therein.

  • Patent number: 5277217
Abstract: A fuel interrupt/pressure release valve arrangement includes a casing mounted at an upper portion of an interior space of a fuel tank. The casing has openings for communicating the interior of the casing with an atmosphere the interior of the fuel tank. A valve housing is formed in the casing having a discharge opening at an upper end. The opening is closed by a stopper biased in a valve closing direction by a spring. A float is provided in the casing having an indentation for loosely receiving the valve housing and a through hole is formed through the float at an apex of the indentation corresponding to the position of the discharge opening of the valve housing. A protrusion formed on the float in the vicinity of the through hole so as to project in an opening direction of the valve so as to be normally in touching contact with the stopper.

  • Patent number: 5172714
Abstract: A fuel check valve assembly for an automotive vehicle fuel tank includes a valve casing having a valve seat and a float valve movably installed in the valve casing for controlling opening and closing of the valve seat. The float valve consists of a valve float and a valve head cooperative with each other to define therebetween a sealingly closed chamber. The valve head is subjected on opposite sides thereof to a pressure within the sealingly closed chamber and a pressure within the fuel tank, respectively and movable relative to the valve float in response to a pressure differential across the valve head. The valve head is forced to move relative to the valve float and away from the valve seat to open the same when the pressure differential across the valve head is larger than a predetermined value.
