  • Patent number: 6435018
Abstract: Either a specified point Q or a specified area Ar, at which an operating condition of a vehicle becomes a specified operating condition, is set beforehand from among points or areas on a travel route along which a vehicle travels. Then, an operating parameter P of a point in time ts1, ts2, ts3, ts4 . . . , tsn, at which a vehicle passes either a specified point Q or a specified area Ar, is obtained. Then, a vehicle abnormality is diagnosed on the basis of the values of these obtained operating parameters P (maximum values Pmax).

  • Publication number: 20020104200
Abstract: To provide a wrist mounting type electronic apparatus facilitating attachment and detachment thereof. The wrist mounting type electronic apparatus is constituted by a main body bent substantially in an L-like shape and straps comprising a hard material. An inserting portion is provided at a front end of the strap on one side and is inserted into an inserted portion of the pivotable strap on other side. The inserted portion is penetrated with a bar member which is engaged with a small diameter hole of the inserting portion. Thereby, the wrist mounting type electronic apparatus can be mounted to the wrist. A hinge of the strap is provided with a coil spring and a state of opening the strap relative to a cabinet of the main body is maintained so far as the strap is not engaged.

  • Patent number: 6349252
Abstract: A plurality of on-board controllers are provided within a construction machine. The plurality of on-board controllers are connected with freedom to communicate with each other by means of a serial communications line allowing communications in accordance with a predetermined communications protocol. Also, an information management controller which manages information about the inside of the construction machine is provided. Further, a monitoring station which mmanages information relating to at least one construction machine including the construction machine is provided on the outside of the construction machine. Also, the serial communications line inside the construction machine and the monitoring station are connected with freedom to communicate with each other via the information management controller. Data acquired by the plurality of on-board controllers is gathered, processed and stored by the information management controller, and the stored data is sent to the monitoring station.

  • Publication number: 20010007817
Abstract: An information processor capable of recognizing whether the possessor (user) of the information processor is carrying the information processor or located in the vicinity of the information processor. The information processor performs a suitable processing operation according to the possessor's (user's) carrying or non-carrying condition. The information processor has a transmitting section to transmit a signal receivable only in the range of a predetermined distance to a wristwatch type information processor previously assigned, a receiving section to receive a signal sent from the wristwatch type information processor in response to the signal transmitted by the transmitting section, a decision section to make a determination as to whether the reply signal has been received by the receiving section, and a processing operation control section to execute a predetermined processing operation depending upon the result of the determination made by the decision circuit.

  • Patent number: 6083860
Abstract: A method for forming dense ceramics, particularly a ceramic coating by a low temperature treatment is provided. The method for forming ceramics according to the invention is characterized in that a polysilazane having a number-average molecular weight of 100 to 50,000 or a modified polysilazane thereof is subjected to a heat treatment, then exposed to an atmosphere containing water vapor or immersed in distilled water containing a catalyst, or both, or is brought into contact with Pd.sup.2+ ions and water, the polysilazane having a skeleton comprising the unit represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 each independently represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group, a group other than the above and having a carbon atom directly attached to the silicon atom, an alkylsilyl group, an alkylamino group and an alkoxy group; with the proviso that at least one of R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 is a hydrogen atom.
