Abstract: A picture processing apparatus for producing animations etc., which successively records still pictures formed to a computer by a video tape recorder, and enables animations to be produced with simple operation. After the picture data of a predetermined number of frames is stored to a picture data storing device, the operation is switched. The picture data which is stored in the picture data storing device, is converted into a video signal to be recorded to a magnetic tape, and by repeating these operations, animations are produced.

Abstract: A pipe coupling includes an inner tubular member cut with an external thread and an outer tubular member cut with an internal thread and posseses a sealing portion where the metal-to-metal contact of conical surfaces establishes a seal. The tip of the sealing portion of the inner tubular member is substantially not in contact with the tip of the outer tubular member. An external peripheral shoulder having an inversely conical surface is provided on the inner tubular member while an internal peripheral shoulder having a conical surface is provided on the outer tubular member. The two peripheral shoulders are firmly engaged with each other.

Abstract: A method for multiple pass rolling of railroad-rails in a universal rolling mill having horizontal rolls and vertical rolls, comprising measuring the axial displacement of the horizontal rolls and the radial displacement of the vertical rolls when a blank passes through a roll caliber defined by the horizontal and vertical rolls. The measurements include the relation of the displacement of the horizontal and vertical rolls and the difference of the rolling forces acting on the rolls each of the two vertical rolls. The values of the rolling forces of the vertical rolls during the intented passes, can be calculated, by arithmetic operations, independently of the above mentioned measuring so as to estimate the axial displacements of the horizontal rolls and radial displacements of the vertical rolls before the rolling by consequent pass is actually performed.
