  • Patent number: 7725353
Abstract: Disclosed is an electronic service manual display program whereby an order for a part can be easily and correctly issued across a network to a predetermined parts order receiving server, and in accordance with to this technique, a board diagram or a circuit diagram is displayed in a drawing display area. Furthermore, network connection destination information, which includes the URL information for a predetermined parts order receiving server, the information type to be transmitted to the server and a predetermined transmission method, is read, for example, from a local hard disk such as the one in a PC (personal computer). When a predetermined manipulation, such as right clicking, is performed for a graphics primitive in the board diagram or the circuit diagram, the network connection destination information is examined, and menu information that enables the selection of a predetermined parts order receiving server is generated and displayed.

  • Patent number: 7613729
Abstract: Disclosed is an electronic service manual display program that eliminates the need to revise an electronic service manual when there is a revision, and enables the respective contents before and after revision to be browsed at the same time. The inventive technique utilizes a parts table database that has information for the various parts used for a predetermined product, and a differential parts table database that has processed information representing the types of alteration, deletion and addition for each of the parts. A parts table page is generated and displays a list of all the parts and the information of the parts stored in the parts table database and the differential parts table database. Accordingly, whether a part has been altered, deleted and/or added can be immediately identified.

  • Patent number: 7499601
Abstract: Disclosed is a technique whereby a superior information search function, for example, is acquired, and a correlation between a drawing, such as a board diagram or a circuit diagram, and parts included in the drawing can be precisely expressed, and whereby the labor required to produce an electronic service manual can be reduced. According to this technique, an index page is displayed in an index page display area (a left frame) on a display device, while a parts table page is displayed in a parts table page display area (a lower portion in a right frame). Then, when a drawing category displayed in the index page display area is selected, a board diagram or a circuit diagram corresponding to the selected drawing category is displayed in a drawing display area (an upper portion in the right frame).

  • Patent number: 7409640
Abstract: A technique for performing an information search relate to parts included in a circuit diagram or a board diagram displayed on a display screen. Network connection destination information, which includes URL information for a predetermined server, a type of information to be transmitted to the server and a predetermined transmission method, are read from a local hard disk. When a predetermined manipulation is performed for a graphics primitive, the network connection destination information is referred to and menu information that enables selection of a predetermined server is generated and displayed. Further, when a predetermined server is selected on the menu information, a part corresponding to parts identification information designated for the selected graphics primitive is searched for, information therefor is obtained, a search request is issued to the predetermined server, and the search results are displayed on a display device.

  • Publication number: 20080046254
Abstract: Disclosed is a technique for generating a useful service manual and for improving the efficiency of data processing related to a service manual. According to this technique, an XML service manual generation control unit 1000 obtains various non-structured data and generates structured data based on the various non-structured data. At this time, structured data is generated based on structure definitions (DTD) that are designated for various non-structured data. Especially, document information is converted into structured data in an XML format and drawing information is converted into structured data in an SVG format, elements in a document and elements in a drawing can be automatically correlated, and an XML service manual wherein information is highly linked is generated. Further, when the generated XML service manual is employed, additional information related to a comment entered by a user, a setup change, etc., is also converted into structured data based on a predetermined structure definition.

  • Publication number: 20070106957
Abstract: Disclosed is a technique that provides an electronic service manual display program that permits a user to freely write a comment and to browse the comment. According to this technique, a board diagram or a circuit diagram is displayed in a drawing display area. And when a predetermined manipulation, such as right clicking using a mouse, is performed for a graphics primitive or a drawing, menu information that enables the entry or the browsing of a comment is generated and displayed. When a user selects entry of a comment on the menu information, a comment input form is displayed, and a comment entered in this form is stored in a database in correlation with identification information (drawing identification information) for a selected drawing or identification information (parts identification information) for a graphics primitive.

  • Publication number: 20070033525
Abstract: Disclosed is a superior technique for performing an information search, whereby information related to parts included in a circuit diagram or a board diagram can be obtained by using conventional databases, and whereby the labor required to produce an electronic service manual can be reduced. According to this technique, a board diagram or a circuit diagram is displayed on a drawing display screen. Network connection destination information, which includes URL information for a predetermined server, a type of information to be transmitted to the server and a predetermined transmission method, is read from a local hard disk, for example, provided for a PC (personal computer). When a predetermined manipulation, such as right clicking, is performed for a graphics primitive, the network connection destination information is referred to and menu information that enables selection of a predetermine server is generated and displayed.

  • Patent number: 5455715
Abstract: Compact and lightweight portable collimator for adjusting an optical system of a video camera is disclosed, the collimator comprises a chart piece holding a chart pattern for producing an image of the chart pattern placed at a focal point of a convex lens which converts a light from the chart pattern into a beam of parallel light and projecting the beam toward the video camera, a cylinder for housing the chart piece and the convex lens, and coupling device rotatably coupling the cylinder to a lens barrel of the video camera so that an orientation of the chart pattern can be changed and the optical system of the video camera can be adjusted to a distance of infinity. The chart piece may be made replaceable so as to place the chart pattern within a focal length of the convex lens to optically synthesize an object placed closer than the infinite distance with respect to an objective lens of the video camera.
