Publication number: 20160032794Abstract: A flap valve device for controlling a gas flow through a tubular duct includes a valve flap which is rotatably supported at a valve housing by a valve shaft. At least two rotary bearings are provided for supporting the valve flap at the valve housing and are received in respective bearing domes. The bearing domes are arranged in the region of respective shaft leadthroughs of the valve housing which are provided for the valve shaft. At least one of the bearing domes is designed as a shaped sheet metal part separate from the valve housing.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 30, 2015Publication date: February 4, 2016Applicant: Friedrich Boysen GmbH & Co. KGInventors: Michael Fischer, Hayri Winter

Patent number: 8424291Abstract: The present invention relates to a flame glow plug having a combustion chamber which has an outlet opening for the flame, a fuel supply, in particular a blockable fuel supply, for the provision of a fuel flow to the combustion chamber, an air supply for the provision of an air flow to the combustion chamber and an ignition device, in particular an electrically operated heating element, which is arranged in the combustion chamber or which extends into the combustion chamber and which is made to ignite the air/fuel mixture arising from the provided fuel flow and the provided air flow. The air supply is made controllable in quantity to selectively operate the flame glow plug as a torch or as a secondary fuel injection apparatus. The invention furthermore relates to a regeneration apparatus for a particulate filter of an exhaust gas system, to an exhaust gas system for a combustion engine as well as to a method for the operation of a regeneration apparatus.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 2009Date of Patent: April 23, 2013Assignees: Friedrich Boysen GmbH & Co. KG, Beru AktiengesellschaftInventors: Hayri Winter, Christian Muschik, Volker Brichzin, Martin Eller

Publication number: 20100011743Abstract: A regeneration apparatus for a particulate filter of an exhaust gas system is provided which includes an exhaust gas duct and a catalyst which is integrated into the exhaust gas duct upstream of the particle filter. The exhaust gas system or the combustion engine includes an injection apparatus which is in communication with a fuel reservoir and is able to input fuel, in particular fuel containing hydrocarbons, into the exhaust gas flow. The regeneration apparatus includes a burner and at least one switching device. The burner is able to heat the catalyst to a reaction temperature at which an exothermic reaction of the fuel takes place. The switching device is able to activate and deactivate the burner and/or the injection apparatus selectively in dependence on an operating state of the exhaust gas system. An exhaust gas system for a combustion engine and a method for the regeneration of a particulate filter of an exhaust gas system are also provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 15, 2009Publication date: January 21, 2010Inventors: Christian MUSCHIK, Hayri WINTER
