The source subset of the source text enhancement capabilities is applied to the source text stream. A text transfer invocation of the source text stream that is directed towards a target processing environment is identified. The source subset is compared to one or more target text enhancement capabilities of the target processing environment. One or more alternative enhancements to the source subset are determined based on the comparison. A target text stream that includes one or more alternative text enhancements, selected from the target text enhancement capabilities, is generated.
