    Abstract: A method and apparatus for a called subscriber to send a sound for his own personal information as a ringback tone with a ringback tone replacing sound are disclosed. The method comprises the steps of: HLR providing MSC with the first information about whether a ringback tone is to be replaced or not and the second information for routing to sound providing means when a called terminal is registered in MSC; MSC requesting a call connection to the sound providing means based on the first and second information when the called terminal is called; and the sound providing means call-connecting to the calling terminal, and providing the calling terminal with a specific sound, wherein the specific sound is generated by combining a subscriber information sound, which can identify the called subscriber or can represent the subscriber's character, with the ringback tone replacing sound.

If the access network of the asynchronous mobile communication network (100) requests handover to an MSC (104) of the asynchronous mobile communication network, the MSC requests/receives subscriber information of the mobile communication terminal from a dual-stack HLR (300), and transmits a handover request message to the synchronous mobile communication network (200). The MSC (203) of the synchronous mobile communication network assigns a forward channel to the mobile communication terminal. The asynchronous mobile communication network (100) transmits a handover instruction message to the asynchronous RF device of the mobile communication terminal. Accordingly, the mobile communication terminal sets up a synchronous RF device, connects to the synchronous mobile communication network through reverse channel assignment and synchronization.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are a system and method for transferring voice messages. The system includes a voice message server. When a voice message and called terminal information are transmitted from a calling terminal, the voice message server stores the voice message, searches for a connection mute to the called terminal with reference to the called terminal information, and transmits a reception request signal to the called terminal. Furthermore, when the called terminal responds to the reception request signal, the voice message server reproduces the voice message. Furthermore, when the called terminal does not respond to the reception request signal and the reception request signal is forwarded to a different receiving object, the voice message server checks whether the route of the reception request signal has been changed and interrupts the transmission of the voice message. Accordingly, an additional communication charge may be avoided.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to apparatus and method of providing a history of failed calls for a subscriber who is targeted by the failed calls. In the present invention, when an exchanger can not route a call to a target subscriber it notifies an HLR (Home Location Register) of call routing failure. Then, the HLR sends information about the failed call, which includes the called and the calling number, and call originating time (or call receiving time), to a call control system. The call control system adds the received failed-call information to a calling history for the called number. Afterwards, when the called number is accessible the call control system provides a subscriber of the called number with the calling history, whereby the subscriber can know all of calling numbers that requested to make connections with him or her while he or she was not able to communicate with a mobile network.
