  • Patent number: 11981924
Abstract: Provided are a composition for culturing NK cells, and a method of culturing NK cells using the same. According to an aspect, in culturing NK cells from peripheral blood mononuclear cells, when NK cells are cultured in a medium including the composition for culturing NK cells, the composition including IL-15, IL-18, and IL-27, the NK cells may proliferate in large quantities and activation of NK cells may be promoted. Therefore, when the NK cells are used, cancer cell apoptosis or cancer cell-killing ability may be promoted. Accordingly, the NK cells may be used as an effective adoptive immune cell therapy product in cancer prevention or treatment.

  • Patent number: 9303278
Abstract: The present invention is to enhance the stability and enzyme activity of an L-arabitol dehydrogenase derived from Neurospora crassa using techniques from quantum mechanics and molecular mechanics and partial mutation techniques. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for preparing an L-arabitol dehydrogenase in which a residue which affects enzyme stability is found through a screening based on quantum mechanics and molecular mechanics, and enzyme activity is enhanced by mutation of the found residue, nucleic acid molecules encoding the L-arabitol dehydrogenase, a vector including the nucleic acid molecules, a transformant including the vector, a mutant of the L-arabitol dehydrogenase and an improved L-arabitol dehydrogenase.

  • Patent number: 9005937
Abstract: There are provided a novel ribitol dehydrogenase, a residue determining double coenzyme specificity, and a method for preparing L-ribulose using the same, and more particularly, to a ribitol dehydrogenase producing rare sugars, nucleic acid molecules encoding the same, a vector including the nucleic acid molecules, a transformant including the vector, a mutant of the ribitol dehydrogenase, and a method for preparing L-ribulose using the ribitol dehydrogenase. The ribitol dehydrogenase having double coenzyme specificity, which is derived from Zymomonas mobilis, can effectively be used for preparing high-priced rare sugars and an investigation of coenzyme specificity determinants for the ribitol dehydrogenase is applied for all of dedydrogenases as a based technique.

  • Patent number: 5765889
Abstract: An arm structure of a wafer transfer robot for transporting a semiconductor wafer by vacuum absorption, comprising a body, a plurality of fingers extending in parallel from respective ends of a main vacuum line formed in the body, a plurality of branch vacuum lines extending from the main vacuum line through the fingers, respectively, and being in communication with the main vacuum line, a plurality of vacuum-absorbing projections provided with openings in communication with the respective branch vacuum lines, and projected upwardly on each upper surface of the fingers, for holding the wafer by vacuum-absorption, and structures for horizontally supporting the wafer on the arm. With this wafer transfer robot arm, the wafer can be stably transported because vacuum leakage does not occur between the arm and the wafer held by a vacuum absorption.
