  • Patent number: 6834181
Abstract: Mechanical design considerations for the antenna and speaker functionalities in a mobile communication device are combined in the construction to reduce the physical size of the device. The antenna and speaker are carried in a common chamber which enhances bass-tone production of the speaker while maintaining antenna functional design consideration.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20020193136
Abstract: A cordless telephone handset. The cordless telephone handset has telephone circuitry with a front side. The front side of the telephone circuitry has a top end and a bottom end. A housing is provided having a top shell and a bottom shell where the top shell and the bottom shell are disconnectable. The housing is adapted to substantially enclose the telephone circuitry when the top shell and the bottom shell are mated in a direction from the top end to the bottom end of the telephone circuitry.

  • Patent number: 6347945
Abstract: A method and arrangement for improving electrical contact between a printed circuit board and an electrical component, wherein the electrical components have one or more spring contacts to provide electrical connection to one or more pads on the printed circuit board. The contacting point between a spring contact may be oxidized due to humidity, condensation water, chlorides or other environment agents. The oxidation at the contact point degrades the electrical connection and, eventually, causes a total loss in electrical contact. A vibration mechanism is used to cause the electrical components to move relative to the printed circuit board and the spring contacts to rub against the pads. The vibrating motion on the spring contacts cleans the contact points of undesirable materials at the contact points.
