Publication number: 20160058076Abstract: Electric components to be installed into or onto a garment are provided in/on a module. The module includes an installation zone via which the module with the components is configured to be installed, such as sewed, quilted, glued, welded or laminated, with the garment in a fixed manner. The installation zone is arranged so that the module is also configured to be detached from the garment via the installation zone by breaking, such as cutting or tearing the structure of the installation zone.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 28, 2015Publication date: March 3, 2016Inventors: Akseli REHO, Heikki JAAKKOLA, Aino-Maria ILKKO

Publication number: 20150289364Abstract: A stretchable device for transmitting signal between end points, such as a sensor and electronic unit, includes a conductive element, which is coupled with a supporting structure by introducing the conductive element successively through the thickness of the supporting structure to the first and second side of the supporting structure, thereby providing a corrugated structure for the conductive element, which is configured to be straighten out at least partially during stretching the device in its longitudinal direction. The conductive element is coupled with the supporting structure between first and second outer layers thereby providing the stretchable device.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 3, 2015Publication date: October 8, 2015Inventors: Aino-Maria ILKKO, Heidi MALMIVAARA, Heikki JAAKKOLA, Manu MYRY

Patent number: 8992729Abstract: A method and assembly for separating contaminants from liquids, such as condensates, or vapors at an evaporation plant. The contaminants are separated from liquids by stripping when bringing a contaminant-enriched liquid into direct contact with a vapor by spraying or distributing the liquid into the vapor flowing in a vapor duct or onto wall surfaces in the vapor duct thus reducing the contaminant-content of the sprayed liquid and producing a cleaner liquid. The contaminants are enriched in the vapor. From vapors contaminants are separated by absorption when bringing a contaminant-enriched vapor into direct contact with a cleaner liquid by spraying or distributing the liquid into the vapor flowing in a vapor duct or onto wall surfaces in the vapor duct thus increasing the contaminant-content of the liquid, but producing a cleaned vapor.Type: GrantFiled: October 17, 2011Date of Patent: March 31, 2015Assignee: Andritz OyInventors: Carl-Gustav Berg, Heikki Jaakkola

Publication number: 20130160183Abstract: A textile arrangement that includes at least one flexible circuit board integrated with a textile and a fixedly-integrated electronic component in the flexible circuit board. The flexible circuit board includes a flexible and/or tensile substrate, which is configured to bend and/or stretch at least in one direction. In addition, the flexible circuit board includes at least one electrically-conducting trace, at least one end of the trace being coupled with the component. The electrically-conducting trace is configured to bend and/or stretch with the flexible and/or tensile substrate of the circuit board at least in said one direction, when the circuit board is bent and/or stretched.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 23, 2011Publication date: June 27, 2013Inventors: Akseli Reho, Heikki Jaakkola, Antti Perko

Patent number: 6235151Abstract: Calcium carbonate scaling is inhibited in a multi-stage alkaline waste liquor evaporation plant in a chemical cellulose pulp mill having a bleaching plant. Calcium-containing effluent from the bleaching plant is treated together with alkaline waste liquor in the evaporation plant. A portion of the alkaline waste liquor of the evaporation plant is supplied to the bleaching effluent to increase the carbonate content of the effluent. Then the bleaching effluent is heated to 110-160° C. by direct contact with a heating medium (e.g. steam, or secondary vapor) and maintained in a retention tank for a period of about 1-20 minutes to reduce the amount of dissolved calcium in the effluent. Finally the heat-treated bleaching effluent is evaporated with the alkaline waste liquor in the evaporation plant, with minimized scaling.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 1999Date of Patent: May 22, 2001Assignee: Andritz-Ahlstrom OyInventors: Olof Fagerlind, Heikki Jaakkola, Erkki Kiiskila
