  • Patent number: 8616108
Abstract: A guide rail for a portable power tool includes a releasable connecting device and at least two individual rails which are to be joined together to form a common rail and which can be locked together via the releasable connecting device. The releasable connecting device includes at least one connecting latch on a first individual rail of the at least two individual rails. The connecting latch is adjustable between a locking position and a release position. The connecting latch, for shifting from the locking position into the release position, performs a movement relative to the first individual rail on which the connecting latch is held. The connecting latch is engaged in the locking position with a locking counterpart arranged on a second individual rail of the at least two individual rails.

  • Patent number: 8059281
Abstract: A hand-held device (10, 10?) for contactless distance measurement measures a distance (d) between a target object (18) and at least one reference point (20) of the device (10) using an emitted modulated measurement signal (16). The device includes a housing (12, 13, 56) with a first end (34) that faces the object (18) to be measured, and a second end (35) facing away from the object (18) to be measured. The housing includes an output unit (22, 28, 29, 31) for depicting measured results. Several measured distance values are to be assigned to at least one subsection of the path between the object (18) to be measured and the opposite end (35) of the housing (12, 13, 56) via a length-measurement scale (36, 38, 54) that is displayable in the output unit (22, 28, 29, 31).

  • Publication number: 20090141261
Abstract: The invention relates to an electro-optical output unit (30, 31, 32, 130, 132) for representing measured distance values, especially an electro-optical output unit (30, 31, 32, 130, 132) for a hand-held length-measuring device. The invention is characterized in that the output unit (30, 31, 32, 130, 132) is adapted to represent a variable length meter scale (40, 52, 140) which changes with varying measuring distance of the device to a reference point of the distance measurement. The invention also relates to a measuring device, especially a hand-held distance measuring device, comprising said electro-optical output unit.

  • Publication number: 20090033909
Abstract: The invention relates to a device (10, 10?) for contactless distance measurement, especially a hand-held device which allows a distance (d) between a target object (18) and at least one reference point (20) of the device (10) to be determined by means of an emitted measuring signal (16), especially by means of a modulated measuring signal. Said device comprises at least one housing (12, 13, 56) with a first end (34) facing the object (18) to be measured and a second end (35) facing away from the object (18) to be measured, and an output unit (22, 28, 29, 31) for representing the results of measurement. The invention is characterized in that at least one subsection of the distance between the object (18) to be measured and the end (35) of the housing (12, 13, 56) facing away from the object can be associated with a plurality of measured distance values via a length meter scale (36, 38, 54) that can be represented by means of an output unit (22, 28, 29, 31).
