  • Publication number: 20090206970
Abstract: A coupling ring (13), which on its underside has a plurality of permanent magnets (16) that are preferably disposed concentrically and with angular offset, and which is disposed laterally on that part of the transport device which is moved in the Z direction, serves to temporarily couple an instrument (10) or tool onto a transport mechanism. The coupling ring cooperates with a coupling plate (17), which is disposed on the upper side of the respective instrument to be coupled-on, and which has permanent magnets (19) of correspondingly opposite polarity disposed with the same distribution.

  • Patent number: 7434483
Abstract: Sample pipettes used in particular for injecting samples into high pressure liquid chromatography apparatuses, which are provided with a hollow needle for drawing a sample and expelling same into a container or into a sample receiving device of the apparatus. An interchangeable cannula is mounted on the hollow needle of such a pipette, said cannula being capable of containing additional functional elements such as filters, chemically active phases and the like.

  • Patent number: 7393508
Abstract: The valve arrangement comprises a predetermined number of individual valve functionalities, arranged in a manner parallel to each other. A fixed connector plate (3) has a number of sample funnel tubes (6) and output connections (8) for forward transfer of the samples arranged offset from the above. A valve plate (14) with the same number of sample loops (24) for accommodating precisely measured sample amounts may be displaced linearly with respect to the connector plate. In a first position the sample loops are connected to the sample funnel tubes and in a second position with the output connections.

  • Patent number: 7213615
Abstract: The rotating valve for high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) has a stator with connections for the solvent reservoirs, pumps, chromatography columns etc. and a disc-shaped rotor with connecting grooves on the front face for selectively connecting different connections to one another. Said grooves are evenly distributed on two concentrical circles. The connecting grooves on the front face of the rotor are configured in the form of circular segments and are arranged in such a way that fife connections are simultaneously connected to one another in defined positions of the rotor in each circle.

  • Patent number: 6102763
Abstract: The invention relates to a quadrupole electrode arrangement comprising two shaped parts (10, 11). Each shaped part (10, 11) is produced from an insulating plate-shaped carrier (2) and a metal blank (1) fastened thereto. Each two of the four opposing electrode surfaces (4.1-4.4) are, for example, milled, turned and ground from the metal blank. Each shaped part (10, 11) also has a ground connection surface (6.1, 6.2) which defines the distance of the quadrupole electrode pairs precisely when the two structural parts are joined.
