  • Patent number: 11118126
Abstract: Disclosed are cloud point depressants and methods of making and using them. The disclosed cloud point depressants comprise copolymers of an unsaturated anhydride polymerized with alkyl ?-olefins and then contacted with a phenyl alkyl alcohol or alkyl phenol alkoxylate, fatty alcohol and primary or secondary fatty amine to provide a cloud depressant reaction product. When the disclosed reaction products are added to middle distillate fuels or blends of middle distillate fuels with biodiesel, the cloud point depressants inhibit the precipitation of waxes and/or biowaxes in the fuels and the fuels exhibit reduced precipitation, gelling, and/or crystallization when subjected to low or cold temperatures.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 9, 2019
Date of Patent: September 14, 2021
    Assignee: Ecolab USA Inc.
Inventors: Xiaojin Harry Li, Nestor U. Soriano, Jr., Heinrich Bode

  • Patent number: 10047274
Abstract: Disclosed herein are inversion systems and methods of diluting w/o lattices including about 10 wt % to 80 wt % of a water soluble polymer. Using the inversion systems and methods described herein, dilution of w/o lattices is carried out in a single step to form dilute lattices having 10,000 ppm or less polymer; the dilute lattices form polymer solutions with no further addition of mixing force or water. The solution viscosities of the polymer solutions obtained using the systems and methods of the invention are at least about 80% of solution viscosity expected in the absence of shear.

  • Patent number: 9206381
Abstract: Alkaline spray-on cleaners that can be delivered by pump or pressurized gas aerosol spray have been made with reduced choking mists are disclosed. The cleaning composition comprises the use of anti-mist components consisting of large anionic copolymer comprised of acrylamide and AMPS (acrylamide-sodium 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonate), and polyethylene oxide polymers that create non-Newtonian solutions. The composition also includes a surfactant, and a source of alkalinity.

  • Patent number: 7575422
Abstract: A compressor unit including a centrifugal compressor for compressing a gas and an electric motor with a stator and a rotor for driving the compressor. The compressor and the electric motor are accommodated in a common gastight housing, provided with a gas inlet and a gas outlet. The stator is accommodated in a separate stator space which is delimited by a wall section, surrounding the stator, of the housing, a gastight partition which extends freely between the stator and the rotor of the electric motor, and at least one end wall which extends between the partition and the housing of the compressor unit. The partition is of a material of such high strength that it remains clear of the stator and the rotor under working pressures of the gas.
