  • Patent number: 7005008
Abstract: The invention relates to a reaction vessel (1) for producing a sample, in particular a crystal, from a substance in solution or in liquid form, having several reaction chambers (6) each forming a separate gas chamber, consisting of at least one housing part, and each reaction chamber (6) has a reservoir (7) and several reaction areas (8) co-operating therewith, connected to one another and to the reservoir (7) in order to exchange gas. The reservoirs and the reaction areas co-operating with them are disposed immediately adjacent to one another in rows, distributed in a predeterminable, identical manner, these rows running parallel with one another. Each row of reservoirs (7) therefore co-operates with at least one row of reaction areas (8).

  • Patent number: 4951464
Abstract: From the exhaust gas of a Diesel engine, carbon black is filtered out by a ceramic carbon black filter. To regenerate said carbon black filter, it is burned out by means of a burner comprising a swirl nozzle provided with liquid fuel and air. The burner is operated with a supergreased fuel/air mixture, and in the main combustion chamber there is produced a stable flame burning sootlessly. The combustion gases are mixed with the exhaust gases in a transverse flow mixer and the residual fuel amount is burned off in a secondary combustion chamber by air contained in the exhaust gas. Regeneration may take place during the operation of the engine, while the burner flame is not put out by the pulsating engine pressure.

  • Patent number: 4698014
Abstract: A method and apparatus for the combustion or gasification of highly viscous nd/or suspended fuel in a burner flame. The fuel is introduced, in a nozzle, and in the form of a continuous, thin, annular layer, into a stream of atomizing medium, with the aid of which the fuel is atomized. The fuel is guided onto the inner wall of the nozzle as a continuous film at a velocity that is low with regard to wear action. The fuel is atomized at a terminal portion of the nozzle that has a knife-edge configuration. The fuel and the atomizing medium stream that flows within the annular film discharge at a minor resonant velocity.

  • Patent number: 4640054
Abstract: Sashes and matching frames for windows and glazed doors, of which the shaped sections each consist of at least one inner hollow aluminum shaped section and one outer plastic casing are designed to substantially improve their thermal insulation. The invention provides a two-part hollow aluminum shaped section, the partial shaped sections so formed being separated thermally from each other approximately in the central region of the shaped section and the thermal separation consisting of the plastic of the outer coverings of the two partial shaped sections.
