  • Patent number: 6406360
Abstract: A device for cleaning the inner walls of vulcanizing molds that are divided into upper and lower partial molds by means of a blasting device/nozzle and a manipulating device, with the blasting device and the manipulating device being accommodated and encapsulated in an isolation hood that is provided with an adapter ring, and with the isolation hood being suspended on a movable boom and connectable to the outer circumference of a partial mold by means of the adapter ring.

  • Patent number: 5301890
Abstract: An apparatus for winding lengths of flexible material into rolls has a drawing roller, and a shiftable friction roller which frictionally winds the material onto a growing roll. The rolls are wound on cores and the apparatus further comprises an application unit for initiating the winding of a fresh core. The application unit has a winding roller, and a plate which flanks and is spaced from the winding roller and extends along a portion of the circumference thereof. To initiate winding of a fresh core, the friction roller and the growing roll are moved away from the drawing roller to form a gap which is spanned by a taut section of the material. The application unit is in a retracted position. The fresh core is held against the taut section adjacent to the drawing roller which then rotates the core. The taut section is subsequently severed and the leading end of the resulting upstream segment of the material falls onto the plate of the application unit.

  • Patent number: 4901934
Abstract: A device for winding successive sections of a web of flexible material onto individual, successively fed cores, wherein the leader of a new section of the web is laid under the first convolution of the new section by means of a roller. A cutting mechanism pivots the roller against the leader in response to movement to an operative position in which it severs the web.

  • Patent number: 4500044
Abstract: Apparatus for converting an intermittently running web into a series of discrete bolts by winding the web onto flat strip-shaped cores has two parallel winding devices each of which has two spaced-apart coaxial rotary bolt holders with jaws which can engage the marginal portions of the web as well as the end portions of a core before the respective bolt holders are set in rotary motion. Each winding device is preceded by a bolt deflecting device which prevents fluttering of the web during winding. The winding devices and the deflecting devices are mounted on two brackets which are indexible through 180.degree. about a fixed axis to move one of the winding devices to an operative position while the other winding device is held in a position of readiness and vice versa. The web can consist of a single layer or of two or more overlapping layers.
