  • Patent number: 5288162
Abstract: An expansion dowel is formed of an axially elongated expansion member and an expansion element insertable into a bore through the expansion member. The expansion member has two axially extending first slots located diametrically opposite one another and open at one end of the member. Two axially extending second slots are located in the expansion member offset circumferentially by 90.degree. from the first slots. The second slots are closed at their opposite ends. The first and second slots partially overlap in the axial direction, so that the expansion member is radially expandable in the overlapping region of the slots, while the expansion element is prevented from moving off center during the expanding operation.

  • Patent number: 4895055
Abstract: An installation tool for placing anchor elements includes an axially extending member and a ball with a thread on the member for engagement with the anchor element to be installed. The ball is captured in a receiving space in the installation tool and serves as a stop for limiting the threaded engagement of the tool with the anchor element. The ball has only a punctiform contact with the element, accordingly, the frictional engagement between the ball and the element developed while an anchor element is being screwed in is very small, so that the installation tool can be unscrewed easily from the anchor element after the element is installed.

  • Patent number: 4840524
Abstract: An anchor member is formed of an axially extending core member enclosed from one end toward the other by an electrically non-conductive plastics material jacket. The anchor member can be secured in a borehole in a receiving material by a hardenable mass. The jacket at the one or leading end of the core member has a tip located on an extension of the core member axis, so that the tip abuts the center of the base of the borehole. With the centering action afforded by the tip, damage to the jacket is prevented as the anchor member is inserted into the borehole.

  • Patent number: 4836729
Abstract: An anchoring unit is made up of a screen-type sleeve and an insert sleeve to be placed into the screen-type sleeve. The unit is anchored by a hardenable mass. After the screen-type sleeve is inserted into a borehole in a structure with internal open spaces, the hardenable mass is injected into the screen-type sleeve. When the insert sleeve is placed into the screen-type sleeve, the hardenable mass is forced outwardy through openings in the screen-type sleeve into the open spaces in the structure. The two sleeves each have an inside surface and an outside surface with alternating projecting surfaces and recessed surfaces to facilitate a positive lock with the hardenable mass. Further, the alternating surfaces improve the distribution of the hardenable mass. Preferably, the two sleeves are formed of a plastics material. A fastening element can be inserted into the insert sleeve for securing an object to the structure.

  • Patent number: 4518291
Abstract: A plastics material expansion dowel has an axially extending dowel body with a central hole extending in its axial direction and with wave-form slots also extending in the axial direction and opening into the central hole. The wave-form slots have alternating crests and troughs. The width being greatest at the top of the crests and the bottom of the troughs and being least at the transition between the crests and the troughs. A spreading screw can be inserted into the central hole for effecting the expansion of the dowel body. The number of wave crests exceeds the number of wave troughs in the screw-in direction of the spreading screw by one. Further, the outside surface of the dowel body has axially spaced groove-like recesses extending in the circumferential direction for affording surface profiling.

  • Patent number: 4118838
Abstract: A pipe clamp for use on pipe, cable or the like consists of a U-shaped base part forming an opening therethrough and a U-shaped fastening clip insertable into the opening through the base part. Toothed strips are provided on the interior surfaces of the base part and on the exterior surfaces of the clip for locking the two parts together. The base part has a closed bottom surface and an open top surface and two pair of opposite sides extending between the bottom and top surfaces. The fastening clip is inserted into the base part through the open top surface. A U-shaped opening is provided in each of one pair of opposite sides and the U-shaped opening narrows toward the top surface. The toothed strips are located in the other pair of opposite sides.

  • Patent number: 4119285
Abstract: A clip for holding pipe, cable and the like on a support member, such as C-shaped member, consists of a pair of clamping jaws attached in spaced relation to an elastically deformable base portion. The base portion has two first bearing locations disposed in spaced relation and one second bearing location positioned between and spaced from each of the first bearing locations. At least a part of the base portion has an arcuate or arched shape with the convex side facing toward the clamping jaws. The second bearing location is positioned at the crown on the convex side of the arched shaped part of the base portion. The clip is resiliently biased into gripping relation with the support member at the first and second bearing locations, and, when the clamping jaws are pressed together, the gripping action at the bearing location is released and the clip can be moved relative to the support member.

  • Patent number: 4114241
Abstract: To interconnect clamps used for holding pipe, cable and the like, a detent is provided extending outwardly from one side surface of the clamp while a complementary opening is formed in the opposite side surface. The detent fits into the opening formed in another clamp for securing the two clamps together. The detents are shaped to provide a releasable interfit with the openings. Each side surface can include both a detent and an opening. The detents and openings or recesses can be provided at the junction of the side walls and base of the clamps.
