  • Patent number: 8496839
Abstract: A filter device including at least one filter chamber between a filter plate and a counter plate when the device is closed, into which chamber a suspension can be inducted on a cake side of a filter cloth through at least one filling shoe anchored in the filter plate and clamping the cloth with the filter plate in a sealing manner. The suspension permeates the cloth to the filtrate side, wherein the suspension solid content deposits on the cloth as a filter cake, and the filter and counter plates are offset from each other when the device is open, and the cake is removable from the chamber. In order to simplify the disassembly of the cloth, the shoe is movably anchored in the filter plate, and the shoe is automatically lifted off from the filter plate and the clamping of the filter cloth is released when the device is opened.

  • Patent number: 8313645
Abstract: The invention relates to a filter device comprising at least one filter chamber (7) configured between a chamber side (5) and a membrane side (6) of two parallel filter plates (1) and divided through two filter cloths (4), the membrane sides (6) of the two filter plates (1) each comprising a membrane (3), an outlet (8), and a deviation element (12) attached to the outlet (8) and penetrating the membrane (3). When the filter device is closed, a suspension containing a solid substance can be inducted between the filter cloths (4) in such a way that a filtrate penetrates the filter cloths (4) on the chamber side (5) and on the membrane side (6), while the solid substance is deposited in a filter cake on the filter cloths (4). The filtrate flows initially substantially parallel to the filter cloth (4) towards the outlet (8), is deviated through the deviation element (12) in an outlet direction (9) perpendicular to the filter cloth (4), and flows out through the outlet (8).

  • Publication number: 20100155342
Abstract: A method for filtering a suspension, the suspension initially being inducted into a filter chamber in a direction which is substantially parallel to at least one filter cloth on a filter cake side of same, the filter chamber being configured substantially lens shaped between two parallel filter plates, when a filter device is closed, whereas when the filter device is open, the filter plates are at such a distance that the at least one filter cloth can be removed from the filter chamber, thereafter a filtrate to permeates the at least one filter cloth to a filtrate side of the filter cloth, wherein a solid content of the suspension is deposited as a filter cake on the filter cake side, and the filtrate subsequently flows out of the filter chamber on the filtrate side. The invention also relates to such a filter device.

  • Patent number: 5603827
Abstract: A filter element, for use in a plate filter press for example, includes a membrane supported from a plate and captured, about the periphery of an opening in the plate, by a clamping ring which locates a shaped edge bead on the membrane in a complementary shaped groove in the plate. The clamping ring has a bearing surface, which contacts a surface of the membrane edge bead which is oppositely disposed with respect to the portion thereof which cooperates with the groove in the plate, having an angle of inclination with respect to the plane of the plate which directs forces produced by pressure induced expansion of the membrane to the clamping ring in a generally radial direction with respect to the axis of the opening in the plate.

  • Patent number: 5484526
Abstract: A membrane plate for a filter press includes a plate member composed of a plate wall having a peripheral region provided with a plate wall groove and a plate frame surrounding the plate wall. A flexible press membrane is disposed adjacent at least one side of the plate wall and a holding frame covers a membrane edge bead received in the plate wall groove. A connecting arrangement secures the holding frame to the plate frame and permits transverse movement of the holding frame with respect to the plate wall. The connecting arrangement includes a continuous peripheral groove in the plate frame and a continuous, elastic member supported on the holding frame. The elastic member projects from the holding frame and is received by the continuous peripheral groove.

  • Patent number: 4741826
Abstract: A filter cloth securing device attaches a filter cloth in the zone of the slurry port of a filter plate. A plurality of face-to-face arranged filter plates constitute a filter plate stack of a plate filter press. Each filter cloth securing device has two flanged sleeves inserted from either side of the slurry port and a threaded tightening sleeve which passes through the slurry port and which tightens the flanged sleeves to one another to thus clamp the filter cloth against the filter plate face. In the closed state of the filter plate stack face-to-face oriented flanged sleeves belonging to consecutive filter plates define an annular clearance and further, at least one flanged sleeve of the filter cloth securing device has on its outer face at least one protuberance which projects towards the outer flange face of an adjoining flanged sleeve, belonging to a consecutive filter plate. The protuberance ends at a distance from the last-named outer flange face.
