  • Patent number: 6490832
Abstract: A sliding door system is provided which has a support frame including vertical posts and a horizontal transom. An assembly supporting a sliding door wing is supported at the support frame and includes a running mechanism operable to carry the door wing disposed in a running mechanism housing. A drive motor assembly disposed in a drive motor assembly housing is operably connected to the running mechanism to move the door wing. The running mechanism housing and the drive motor assembly housing are disposed one behind the other in a direction transverse to the transom and door wing and are configured and dimensioned to form a parallelepiped with a vertical height fitting within a vertical height of the transom.

  • Patent number: 4252337
Abstract: Ski brake apparatus is provided which includes ski brakes designed to accommodate holding or latching together of the skis when in a stored condition by means of the ski brake structure. In particularly preferred embodiments, pivotally movable brake claws of the brakes at one ski include an opening engageable with the pivot axle for the brake at the other ski. The opening is configured so as to require a pressing together of the bottoms of the skis against their elastic tension to permit insertion and snap-locking of the one ski brake end portion with the pivot axle or pin of the other ski brake to lock the skis together.

  • Patent number: 4167275
Abstract: Ski brake comprising a bail rotatably mounted about a fixed transverse axis on a ski having two brake arms extending alongside the ski on one side of the axis and a pedal on the other side of the axis, a flexural spring fastened to the pedal which extends to a supporting surface on top of the ski in all rotational positions of the bail. The spring is resiliently biased relative to the pedal such that in the absence of a ski boot on the pedal the spring rotates the bail into a braking position wherein the brake arms project below the ski. When a ski boot is placed on the pedal the bail is rotated against the bias of the spring into an inactive position wherein the brake arms are located in the plane of or above the ski. A roller can be provided at the end of the spring to roll on the supporting surface and/or the supporting surface can be provided with friction reducing properties.

  • Patent number: 4108465
Abstract: Ski brake comprising a brake member, a bearing member having bearing lugs for pivotably carrying the brake member, a main leaf spring on the bearing member, an attachment member fixed on the ski having an additional leaf spring thereon, coupling portions on the bearing and attachment members whereby the bearing member can be detachably connected to said attachment member and guided for movement longitudinally of the ski, the additional leaf spring supporting the main leaf spring and the springs being adapted to pivot the brake member about a transverse axis of the ski into braking position. The springs also have detachable interfitting portions to secure the bearing member against movement longitudinally of the ski.
