  • Patent number: 9238259
Abstract: In a method for winding hot-rolled strip (1), comprising —a decoiler mandrel (4), —at least one first pressing device (7), —at least one second pressing device (8), wherein the hot-rolled strip (1) is pressed from the first pressing device (7) and the second pressing device (8) toward the decoiler mandrel (4), the hot-rolled strip (1) is pushed or pulled away from the decoiler mandrel (4) between the first pressing device (7) and the second pressing device (8), thereby subjecting the hot-rolled strip (1) to a prebending step. The invention further relates to a device for winding hot-rolled strip (1).
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 7856894
Abstract: The invention concerns a device (1) for measuring the strip tension in a metal strip, especially a steel strip, which device has a flat, level table (2), over which the metal strip can run and at one end (3) of which a plurality of measuring elements (4) is mounted, which are suitable for measuring the strip tension, where cooling elements (5) are provided, which are installed under the table (2) and with which cooling liquid, especially water, can be carried into the area of the measuring element (4). In order to secure the table against sagging in a simple way, the invention provides that the cooling elements (5) have a box-like cooling liquid tank (6), which is arranged on both sides of the metal strip on at least one support member, such that the underside of the table (2) rests directly or indirectly on the box-like cooling liquid tank (6).

  • Publication number: 20100294874
Abstract: The invention relates to a winding device 10, in particular, a hot-rolled strip winding device, for winding, in particular, a hot-rolled strip 11 after rolling into bundles or coils 12, having a driven winding unit 13 for winding, in particular, the hot-rolled strip 11 and having means for fixing the bundles or coils 12, wherein said means comprises at least one unit 14 for producing a welded connection 16. The invention proposes that said unit 14 for producing a welded connection 16 be configured for producing a welded connection 16 connecting the last bundle or coil winding to the next to the last bundle or coil winding.
