  • Publication number: 20040171141
Abstract: A transport container (40) for slides (4) for immunological labeling of thin tissue sections (2a) is disclosed. The transport container (40) is embodied in the form of a trough which comprises a peripheral delimiting wall (49) that is closed off by a base (50). There is embodied in the interior of the trough on the delimiting wall (49) at least one peripheral step (57) on which the slide rests and is spaced away from the base (50) of the transport container (40).

  • Publication number: 20040171102
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for immunological labeling of thin tissue sections are disclosed. The treatment fluid is applied in the form of liquid droplets onto at least one slide, the arrangement of liquid droplets corresponding to the arrangement of the thin tissue sections on the carrier plate. Each slide is retained in a transport container, the transport container being embodied in the form of a trough which comprises a peripheral delimiting wall that is closed off by a base. The base of one transport containers constitutes the cover of a transport container arranged beneath it. The transport containers are stacked in a first and a second station.

  • Patent number: 6745916
Abstract: The invention concerns a unit (2) for automatic delivery of specimen slides to a coverslipper (3). The unit (2) comprises a housing (27) in which a front panel (25) is provided. Also provided is a passage (20) in the housing (27) that is defined substantially by a first and a second cutout (21 and 23) in the first and the second side wall (22 and 24). A transfer position (8) for racks (4) is provided in the region of the cutout (21) in the first side wall (22), and a transport apparatus (9) extends out substantially from the transfer position (8) to beyond the cutout (23) in the second side wall (24).

  • Publication number: 20030049104
Abstract: A system for staining and coverslipping specimen slides, having a stainer (1) and a coverslipper (3) that are arranged next to one another. A transfer device (2), which transports racks with specimen slides from the stainer (1) to the coverslipper (3), is provided between the stainer (1) and the coverslipper (3). Transport is automated so that operation by the user is substantially reduced.

  • Publication number: 20020193814
Abstract: A container (2) for tissue preparation for the tissue embedding, having a base body (4), that is formed out cylindrical shaped side wall (5), a floor (6) and several bridges (50). The bridges (50) subdivide the container (2) in several sub-containers (52). The side wall (5) has a plurality of slit shaped openings (12), that extend essentially over the total height of the side wall (5).
