  • Patent number: 11112516
Abstract: Methods may include normalizing two or more wellbore logs obtained from the output of two or more wellbore tool surveys of a wellbore in a formation of interest; inputting two or more wellbore logs into a correlation matrix; assigning each of the two or more wellbore logs a positive or negative value based on the impact on a selected wellbore quality; performing a principal component analysis of the two or more wellbore logs to obtain one or more loading vectors; computing weighting factors for each of the two or more wellbore logs from the one or more loading vectors; and generating a quality index by linearly combining the two or more wellbore logs using the computed weighting factors.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 30, 2018
Date of Patent: September 7, 2021
    Assignee: SCHLUMBERGER TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION
Inventors: Tuanfeng Zhang, Richard E. Lewis, Helena Gamero Diaz
  • Patent number: 10502863
Abstract: A method can include receiving data for a geologic environment where the data include data acquired via different types of borehole tool sensors; based at least in part on the data, determining rock composition of the geologic environment where the rock composition includes depositional components and diagenetic components; and, based at least in part on the rock composition, outputting a stratigraphic model of at least a portion of the geologic environment.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 12, 2016
Date of Patent: December 10, 2019
    Assignee: Schlumberger Technology Corporation
Inventors: Laurent Mosse, Helena Gamero Diaz, Josselin Kherroubi, Christina Calvin, Erik Rylander

  • Patent number: 10428626
Abstract: A system has a tool capable of obtaining data that characterizes a stimulated reservoir or from which the stimulated reservoir can be characterized. The system also includes a processor capable of predicting the production of the stimulated reservoir using the characterizing data and outputting the predicted production. A reservoir may be stimulated using a stimulation process and data may be obtained that characterizes the stimulated reservoir or from which the stimulated reservoir can be characterized. The production of the stimulated reservoir may be predicted using the data. Alternatively, a reservoir may be stimulated using a stimulation process and data that characterizes the stimulated reservoir or from which the stimulated reservoir can be characterized may be obtained. One or more 3-D volumes may be produced based on the characterizing data, and inferences about the stimulated reservoir may be made using the one or more 3-D volumes.
