  • Patent number: 5951405
Abstract: The present invention concerns an opto-mechanical system and method for obtaining scenographic and decorative effects on surfaces suitable as screens. The system includes a container of liquid, such as water and a movable planar element placed inside said container. An actuator is provided for variably displacing the movable planar element relative to the liquid to generate a variety of movements of waves above the upper face of the movable planar element, while a light source is placed relative to the container to project the movements of the waves onto the surfaces. The movable planar element can also be displaced manually. The system permits the creation of a great variety of wave design patterns due to the displacements of the movable planar element inside the container of liquid.

  • Patent number: 5600907
Abstract: A method to provide to a visual surface a visual pulsation effect with apparent randomness characteristics by means of the formation, and subsequent separation from a wetted supporting element, of drops of liquid, such drops possessing a high degree of constancy of size, shape and formation-separation speed. This is obtained by a determined flow of a liquid of determined characteristics over one or more supporting elements of given physical characteristics. The pulsation effect possesses a high degree of visual impact and can be used in combination with decorative patterns, messages, logotypes placed on the same visual surface as the pulsation effect.

  • Patent number: 4792259
Abstract: The mechanical device used for carrying out the procedure consists of a reel (B), upon which is wound a conveyor sheet. Before the sheet is wound onto the said reel, the retroreflecting elements (A) are attached to it, maintaining a certain preestablished spacing between the elements. When the sheet is made to unwind from the reel (B) and passed over the sharp-edged body (C), the retroreflecting elements (A) are mechanically detached from the sheet and deposit themselves onto the road surface (S), maintaining the same preestablished spacing between them. The sheet, from which the retroreflecting elements have been detached, is then rewound onto the rewind reel (E).The surface of the said sheet (B) can either be coated with an adhesive (sticky) substance, while the surfaces of the retroreflecting elements (A) are treated with a detaching polymer, or the sheet surface can be treated with the detaching polymer, with the surfaces of the retroreflecting elements coated with the adhesive (sticky) substance.
