  • Patent number: 4953793
Abstract: Accommodated inside the housing (1) of a bowl-and-roller mill is a rotating grinding bowl (3) with segments (7) that stationary rollers (8) roll over. Blades (20) are cast onto the outside circumference of a nozzle ring (15).

  • Patent number: 4860962
Abstract: An owl-mill crusher with stationary grinding rollers (6) inside a housing (1) that roll over a grinding bowl (3) resting on a rotating grinding-bowl support (5). An air box (8) is provided below the grinding bowl (3). A circular-conical disk (17) is secured to the grinding-bowl support (5) with its outer edge pointing down. A stationary cleanout arm (24) is positioned above the disk (17) with one end extending into the extraction shaft (20) of the removal container (21), which is mounted on the side of the housing. Several blades (25) are secured to the bottom of the disk.

  • Patent number: 4705223
Abstract: A ball mill with a housing (1) that accommodates three stationary rollers (2) rolling along a rotating track (3). The rollers are held against the track by means of an upper and lower frame (9 & 10). The frames have springs (11) between them. Rods (8), each connected to a hydraulic cylinder (24) and extending out of the housing, engage the upper frame (9). To allow the rollers to be lifted off the track, a piston associated with the hydraulic cylinder can be charged at either end, the rollers are attached to the lower frame with hinges 25 and an angle-setting device, and the frames are connected by tension structures that limit the expansion of the springs.

  • Patent number: 4674693
Abstract: Grinding elements of a mill rotating inside a mill housing are sealed off relative to the mill housing by an isolating air chamber. The isolating air chamber is limited by sealing rings abutting against the mill elements and a sealing ring housing. The sealing ring housing is connected to the mill housing. An intermediate insulation is provided between the sealing ring housing and the mill housing. The mill housing is sealed off to the outside by a collar.

  • Patent number: 4441720
Abstract: A sealing arrangement between rotating and stationary parts of grinding mills, particularly those operated at pressure above atmospheric. A barrier air chamber is connected through a gap with the interior space of the mill. The flow direction of barrier air to the chamber is directed downwardly within the gap. The barrier air has a pressure exceeding the pressure of carrier gas for preventing passage of the carrier gas together with coal dust toward the outside. The width of the gap is adjustable, and the flow direction of the barrier air may also be oblique downwards within the gap. The gap at the same time, may be formed by an obliquely extending guide portion.

  • Patent number: 4168807
Abstract: A grinding roller for roll crushing mills, in which the axle is retained in a roller amount provided with a barrier air connection. The axle, furthermore, carries a roller hub connected with a roller shell, over inner bearings lubricated by splash lubrication. A measuring sensor reaches into the oil sump and is led through a core bore in the axle. End faces of the axle are surrounded by covers placed on the roller hub and on the roller mount while leaving gaps. Bores connect the respective gaps with the core bore, and these bores pass from both facing ends through the axle. One of the bores extending out from the rspective gap facing the interior of the mill, passes above the oil level and parallel to the oil surface. An extension pipe having a ventilating filter therein, is placed on the bore line on the side of the roller mount.
