  • Patent number: 9409385
Abstract: An intermediate sleeve is provided which is adapted to be mounted on a print cylinder. The intermediate sleeve includes a base layer, a reinforcing layer, a barrier layer, and a surface layer. The sleeve further includes at least one air channel extending longitudinally, circumferentially, or spirally along the interior of the sleeve, at least one air passageway extending from an inner surface of the sleeve into the air channel, and a plurality of orifices extending radially outward from the air channel to an outer surface of the sleeve. The air channel, air passageway, and orifices are in communication such that pressurized air can be supplied from the interior of the print cylinder to the outer surface of the sleeve for mounting a printing sleeve on the intermediate sleeve.

  • Patent number: 8226363
Abstract: A turbine wheel for a gas operated medical handpiece includes a plurality of blades which extend in radial direction from a hub and extend in axial direction from a side ring web of the turbine wheel, and the front side of which is substantially concavely curved about an approximately radially running first axis of curvature. In order to increase the drive power or to better exploit the drive power at least one blade has at least in an axial end region an inclination surface which is inclined in the axial direction towards the front side.

  • Publication number: 20100203472
Abstract: The invention relates to a turbine wheel (7) for a gas operated medical, in particular dental-medical, handpiece (3), having a plurality of blades (2) which extend in radial direction from a hub (7c) and extend in axial direction from a side ring web (29) of the turbine wheel (7), and the front side (22a) of which is substantially concavely curved about an approximately radially running first axis of curvature (23). In order to increase the drive power or to better exploit the drive power the rear side (22b) of the blades (22) has at least in an axial end region an inclination surface (35) which is inclined in the axial direction towards the front side (22a).

  • Publication number: 20100112509
Abstract: A light emitting device for a drive of medical instruments and/or hand pieces contains a carrier device consisting of at least one first layer and at least one second layer; and a luminous diode arranged on a surface of the carrier device pointing in a direction of light emission; the at least one first layer of the carrier device containing a conductive layer for power supply to the luminous diode; and the at least one second layer of the carrier device containing a thermal abstraction layer for carrying off the radiated heat of the luminous diode.

  • Publication number: 20070087308
Abstract: The invention relates to a medical handpiece, in the forward end region of which a tool can be put in place, having a mounting sleeve for receiving the tool, having a carrier sleeve, in which the mounting sleeve is arranged, having a drive element standing in driving connection with the carrier sleeve, having inner bearing elements likewise arranged on the carrier sleeve, having outer bearing elements, and having roller bodies located between the inner bearing elements and the outer bearing elements. In order, in the event of repair, to be able to exchange only a bearing unit carried by the carrier sleeve or a mounting unit including the carrier sleeve and the mounting sleeve, the inner bearing elements are formed of a one-piece inner bearing sleeve which is releasably attached to the carrier sleeve and carries the drive element.

  • Patent number: 4254627
Abstract: A steam turbine plant is disclosed having at least one intermediate superheater which is connected to an outlet side of a high-pressure turbine by way of a check valve. A discharge pipe line is connected at one end through a flow-regulating unit to an outlet side of the high-pressure turbine upstream of the check valve and at the other end to a condenser of the plant. The flow-regulating unit is controlled in response to various pressure parameters sensed within the system. The discharge pipe line both improves the idling capability of the plant and reduces the time required to reach operating temperatures from a cold start.
