  • Publication number: 20030070325
Abstract: A course-grooming vehicle with a rear tool carrier, to which a course-grooming device can be detachably connected, where the height and/or the angle of the rear tool carrier and/or of the course-grooming device can be varied by means of at least one adjusting element, and with an electronic control unit, which actuates the minimum of one adjusting element, is known. According to the invention, at least one sensor for the direct or indirect detection of an actual state of the surface of the course to be groomed by the course-grooming device is provided, which sensor is connected to the control unit, the control unit comprising a memory for storing at least one characteristic diagram and an evaluation unit, which compares the actual values detected by the sensor with corresponding nominal values of the characteristic diagram and which, as a function of the result of the evaluation, actuates the minimum of one adjusting element accordingly.

  • Patent number: 6505897
Abstract: The invention relates to a cleat assembly for drive tracks for tracked vehicles, in particular those used for grooming ski slopes. The cleat assembly has a cleat member that includes, in cross section, a U-shaped body as a connection shank and two U-shanks connected with the connection shank via a flex rim that fit together and end opposite to the connection shank by forming an end piece of the cleat member. The flex rim includes a roll bead that is positioned projecting essentially outward from the connecting shank and bent upward toward the end piece.

  • Patent number: 6481123
Abstract: The invention relates to a snow grooming device, which can be attached to a tool carrier in the front or back of a snow grooming vehicle and which is provided with a snow conditioning tool that can be coupled to the tool carrier, and with a tiller unit on the same side of the vehicle. To create a better application potential for conditioning the snow base with this snow grooming device, in spite of its simple design and simple operation, it is suggested according to the invention that the tiller unit is designed as an exchangeable adapter separate from the conditioning tool, and that it can be separately coupled to and uncoupled from the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20020079145
Abstract: A piste-maintenance tracklaying vehicle including a vehicle control unit and an internal combustion engine. The internal combustion engine is drivingly connected via a gear to a drive sprocket of at least one track. Accessory drives for additional devices are mountable on the tracklaying vehicle, and may include vehicle components such as a tilting device for a platform and driver's cab or track tensioner. An internal combustion engine is connected via a generator and at least one electric motor and a gear to each drive sprocket. In overrun mode an electric motor is switchable as a current generator for accessory drives designed as electrohydraulic or electric drives. The electric drive for a shaft of said additional device is electrically synchronized with the electric motor of said drive sprocket through the vehicle control unit.

  • Patent number: 6085445
Abstract: A piste-preparation device for preparing a half-pipe comprises at least one tool adjustably mounted on a piste vehicle, and lateral members which are laterally disposed relative to the tool and can essentially be assigned to side walls of the half-pipe. To prepare a half-pipe even in cases where the surface is hard and, at the same time, to remove a large amount of material, in particular from the half-pipe side walls, each lateral member comprises removal means designed with removal tools which can move substantially transversely to the direction of travel of the piste vehicle.

  • Patent number: 5984277
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of operating a winch, in which a rope which is wound onto a driven reel is supplied to at least one capstan head and wound around said capstan head, with a capstan drive rotating the capstan head and producing a rope advance due to the rope friction existing between rope and capstan head. Moreover, the present invention relates to a corresponding device. As an improvement of the method and the device, the invention suggests a reel drive which is adjusted separately next to the capstan drive.
