  • Publication number: 20080169346
Abstract: A device for applying a predetermined destination address to a transport container configured to transport an object has an electronic label storing the destination address, a holding device attached to the transport container to hold the electronic label during transport, a transmission facility for transmitting the destination address to the electronic label and for storing the destination address in the label, and a fixed receiving component for receiving one of the labels. The receiving component is disposed in such a manner that the transmission facility is able to transmit the destination address to each of the labels, when the label is received by the fixed receiving component. The label is removable from the holding device.

  • Patent number: 6920965
Abstract: The present invention relates to a spot-type disc brake with a brake housing straddling a brake disc, with at least one brake pad that is arranged in the brake housing so as to be slidable in the actuating direction and cooperates tribologically with the brake disc upon brake application, with at least one actuating device arranged in the brake housing to apply an actuating force to the brake pad, and with a spring assembly for the active adjustment of a clearance between the brake pad and the brake disc after brake application. To simplify the configuration of the spring assembly, the spring assembly comprises exactly one spring which is secured detachably in the spot-type disc brake and is supported on the brake pad and on the brake housing. A spring of this type is arranged advantageously symmetrically within the brake housing to prevent an undesirable inclined positioning of the brake pads.

  • Publication number: 20020043436
Abstract: The present invention relates to a spot-type disc brake (1) with a brake housing (3) straddling a brake disc, with at least one brake lining (5, 6) that is arranged in the brake housing (3) so as to be slidable in the actuating direction and cooperates tribologically with the brake disc upon brake application, with at least one actuating device (4) arranged in the brake housing (3) to apply an actuating force to the brake lining (5), and with a spring assembly for the active adjustment of a clearance between the brake lining (5) and the brake disc after brake application. To simplify the configuration of the spring assembly, the spring assembly comprises exactly one spring (8, 18, 25, 31, 33) which is secured detachably in the spot-type disc brake (1) and is supported on the brake lining (5), on the one hand, and on the brake housing (3), on the other hand.

  • Patent number: 5193652
Abstract: A disc brake for automotive vehicles in which the brake disc is straddled radially from the inside by a fist-shaped brake housing. The supporting and guide elements of the housing consist of a supporting bearing (34) and a movable bearing (7). The supporting bearing (34) connects the housing (8) with the holder (6). The housing 8 is swivelable about the supporting bearing (34). The housing (8) takes support on the movable bearing (7) which comprises a pin (3) rigidly coupled directly to the wheel suspension (38). By coupling the movable bearing (7) directly to the wheel suspension and supporting the lining in a tangential direction directly on the entering side, maximum utilization of the radial space, an increase of the effective radius, and a reduction of the thermal load of the brake are achieved.

  • Patent number: 5096023
Abstract: A spot-type disc brake, in particular to a disc brake straddling the brake disc internally in which a brake and essential assemblies required for that brake and a process for mounting of such a brake are provided. Particular mounting arrangements allow each of the brake shoes to be removed in a radial direction without having to disassemble the housing or parts of the housing.

  • Patent number: 4856620
Abstract: A spot-type disc brake comprises a brake support member and a brake caliper guided via pins mounted in the brake support member. The brake caliper pressurizes the brake shoes arranged on either side of a brake disc by virtue of a brake piston on a bore. The brake shoe lying opposite to the piston is supported on the end face in the brake caliper, while the other brake shoe bears against the end face in the brake support member. To prevent inclined positioning of the brake caliper which results in tapered wear at the brake shoes, the retaining arm arranged in the brake disc's direction of rotation at the brake disc exit is dimensioned such in cross-section that its deformation in the circumferential direction of the brake disc will not be much larger than the fit clearance available between the brake piston and the bore.

  • Patent number: 4241812
Abstract: A brake shoe for a spot-type disc brake includes a carrier plate composed of several plates lying on top of one another, a backing plate and a friction pad secured to one surface of the backing plate. One surface of the carrier plate adjacent the friction pad includes flanges at the ends thereof to embrace the backing plates and the other surface of the carrier plate remote from the friction pad includes flanges to engage a supporting member of a brake housing to transmit the circumferential force at the friction pad during braking to the supporting member.
