  • Publication number: 20200352156
Abstract: A method of conditioning/improving lung functions extracorporeally by treatment of a non-ischemic donor lung ex vivo with a cyclized compound of the amino acid sequence of formula X1-GQRETPEGAEAKPWY-X2 wherein X1 comprises an amino acid (sequence) with 1 to 4 members, comprising natural or unnatural amino acids, and X2 comprises one amino acid, selected from natural amino acids; and a pharmaceutical composition, comprising a peptide of formula I as defined in any one of claims 1 to 7, in a form, which is appropriate for spraying to obtain an aerosol for inhalation, or which is appropriate for the preparation of a spray to obtain an aerosol upon spraying, which is appropriate for inhalation.

  • Patent number: 4456297
Abstract: A dental chair has its backrest connected to the seat by a scissor linkage arrangement which effects the moving together of the contiguous portions of the backrest and seat concurrently with movement of the backrest from an upright to a reclined position.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 18, 1981
Date of Patent: June 26, 1984
    Assignee: Sybron Corporation
    Inventors: Helmut Pietschmann, Herbert Lipp
  • Patent number: 4421483
Abstract: A dental unit has dental instruments carried by individual nests, the nests being selectively movable from a storage position to a readiness position. Each nest is carried to the readiness position in a controlled manner such that the axis of the instrument becomes horizontal and moves downwardly as the instrument approaches the readiness position.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 4, 1981
Date of Patent: December 20, 1983
    Assignee: Sybron Corporation
Inventors: Helmut Pietschmann, Manfred Schmidt, Emil Hirth
  • Patent number: 4363626
Abstract: A dental syringe employs a single thumb or finger operated control member mounted on the syringe for regulating the flow of air or water or spray. The single control moves axially and vertically with respect to the syringe. Axial movement either forward or rearward from a rest position, initiates and controls the quantity of flow of air or water. Vertical movement of the control member initiates the flow of both air and water to produce a spray.

  • Patent number: 4354838
Abstract: A foot controller for dental instruments having a pair of foot pedals which are depressed to initiate and control the rate of flow of a utility service, there being a single, variable output generator with the controller which can be operated by either the independent or simultaneous operation of the foot pedals.

  • Patent number: 4354071
Abstract: In a foot control, two or more pivoted pedals have a common main spring which provides the same resistance to all pedals. A bias arrangement keeps one pedal from falling down if the other pedal is depressed. A bias arrangement may be a horizontal rod associated with each pedal. The rod is spring biased against the pedal at a location below the pivot axis.In a two pedal embodiment both pedals can control a single electrical element. A stud extends from each horizontal rod. The stud normally prevents a spring biased pivoted member from pivoting and actuating the electrical element. When a pedal is depressed, the corresponding rod and stud move to allow the pivoted member to actuate the electric element and a corresponding switch.
