The clamping chuck head comprises a rotatably supported clamping chuck having a first set of clamping segments for clamping a workpiece on a first perimeter area, an operating device for operating the first set of clamping segments, wherein the operating device comprises at least one spring element which closes the first set of segments for clamping the workpiece due to its bias; and a main sleeve in which the first set of segments is arranged, wherein the main sleeve is rotatably supported in the clamping chuck head on two bearings axially spaced from each other and the operating device is essentially arranged in an axial direction between the two bearings or in the area of the bearings.

Abstract: The invention relates to a transport and gripping device (10) for transporting workpieces (40) to and from a processing device (20). Said transport and gripping device comprises a gripping mechanism (50, 52) for gripping the workpiece (40); a device for moving the workpiece in the longitudinal direction thereof by displacement of said transport and gripping device; a device for turning the workpiece parallel to the direction of gripping; and a device for rotating the workpiece about the lateral axis thereof. Said transport and gripping device also comprises an arm (32, 32a), the gripper (38, 50, 52) being attached to the distal end thereof. Said device used to move the workpiece in a longitudinal direction (40) is embodied in such a way that the arm (32, 32a) is moved in a substantially transversal manner across the longitudinal side thereof. The device used to turn the workpiece (40) parallel to the direction of gripping is embodied in such a way that the arm (32, 32a) is rotated on its proximal end.

Abstract: In the manufacture of welded corner joints between hollow plastic sections shaped parts are used which abut against the plastic sections during the heating-up operation and also during the welding process. In this way the result is achieved that the weld bead or plastic rim which forms during the welding, is pressed into the hollow cavity (19) or into the hollow cavities so that a subsequent operation for the purpose of removing the weld bead is not necessary.
