  • Patent number: 9222470
Abstract: A pump comprising a housing comprising a rotor chamber, inlet and outlet channels opening into the rotor chamber, and inlet and outlet seals mounted on a surface of the chamber, and a rotor rotatably and axially slidably received in the chamber and comprising a first axial extension comprising a liquid supply channel and a second axial extension comprising a liquid supply channel, the first and second axial extensions having different diameters. The inlet and outlet seals engage a surface of the rotor, whereby the liquid supply channel of each axial extension in conjunction with a corresponding seal forms a valve that opens and closes as a function of the angular and axial displacement of the rotor. At least one of the inlet and outlet channels opens transversely into the rotor chamber and at least one of the inlet and outlet seals forms a closed circuit circumscribing said at least one of the inlet and outlet channels.

  • Patent number: 8957674
Abstract: A pump comprising an electrical motor drive (2) and a pump engine (3), the pump engine having a stator portion (32) and an axially and rotatably movable rotor portion (30) mounted in the stator portion. The electrical motor drive comprises a rotor (6) with a permanent magnet (20), a stator (4) with a magnetic circuit (10) and one or more coils, and a position sensor (8) comprising at least one magnetic field detector (24a, 24b) positioned in the proximity of the rotor permanent magnet and configured to detect both rotational and axial movement of the rotor.

  • Publication number: 20140231549
Abstract: A fluid dispensing system comprising a pump (4) and a dispenser spray head comprising at least one nozzle through which fluid to be dispensed exits, the pump (4) comprising a stator (14) and a rotor (12) mounted in a chamber of the stator and rotatably displaceable with respect to the stator (14) around an axis of rotation (Ar) and axially along said axis (Ar), said axial displacement of the rotor in a first axial direction (A1) configured to effect a pump filling operation drawing in fluid via an inlet (8) into the stator chamber and in an opposite second axial direction (A2) configured to effect a dispensing operation expulsing the fluid in the chamber out of an outlet (10) of the pump. The outlet of the pump is positioned in the rotor and the dispenser spray head is fluidly connected to the outlet of the pump and is positioned at or adjacent an axial output end (19) of the rotor.

  • Patent number: 5160607
Abstract: A filter for aquarium has a housing having a bottom chamber and at least one filter compartment for a filter material located above the bottom chamber, a supply arranged so that water is supplied from above so as to pass the filter compartment and float to the bottom chamber, a pump for pumping water from the bottom chamber back into the aquarium, so that the filter operates as alternating lifting-lowering filter. Each of the filter compartments has at least one overflow aspiration lifting device with an inlet located at a base side and substantially at a height of a bottom of the filter compartment and an outlet which opens downwardly toward a next one of the filter compartments.
