    Abstract: A printer in which paper transport takes place from a sealed entrance opening in a housing to the printing area, and then to a sealed exit opening of the housing. The entrance and exit opening is sealed against escape of noise by a rotatable cylindrical friction roller located between the incoming and outgoing portions of the paper strip, during printing the roller being pulled by tensile stress in a paper against wall portions on the outer side of the housing.
