  • Patent number: 4938959
Abstract: An ear powder and/or drop, containing soluble substances and an insoluble substance which will be spread of the mucous membrane and form a deposit which will act by its physical acitivity as a dilution support for powder active principles and as a sponge for drops.

  • Patent number: 4579482
Abstract: The invention relates to a powder distributor for dosing and conveying a powder up to a use apparatus. The distributor comprises a pressurized storage tank, a dosing vibrating bowl and an Archimedean screw or a valve for transferring the powder from the tank to the bowl. The putting into operation of the screw is controlled as a function of the powder level in the bowl. The vibrating bowl is placed in a tight enclosure into which is injected a carrier gas used for conveying the powder in a pipe up to the use apparatus. An accelerometer carried by the vibrating bowl makes it possible to check the weight of the powder supplied by the latter. Application more particularly to hot spray guns, such as chemical flame torches and quenches arc plasma torch guns, in a free or controlled atmosphere.

  • Patent number: 4548220
Abstract: A device for sorting and checking metal pieces such as coins, comprising: a first sloping rotary disk for operation as a separation disk, onto which coins are to be thrown in mixed types and random orientations and which is provided at its periphery with pockets, each pocket adapted to receive one and only one coin; a second sloping rotary disk for operation as a detection disk, also provided with pockets at its periphery and rotating in synchronism with the first disk but in reverse direction about a parallel axis, the second disk having an axis placed higher than the first disk, and the second disk occupying a plane slightly below the first disk with the disks partially overlapping, whereby a coin in a pocket of the first disk is transferred to a pocket of the second disk by action of gravity at a culminating point of its travel; and, a coin recognition device comprising a number of electromagnetic sensors disposed along a path of the pockets of the second disk.

  • Patent number: 4402478
Abstract: The invention relates to a process and device for braking an aircraft taxiing on the ground. According to the invention, links are provided between the left-hand pedal and the right-hand brakes and, inversely, between the right-hand pedal and the left-hand brakes, so as to limit the yawing movements. The invention is particularly applicable to the braking of a wide-track aircraft.

  • Patent number: 4365847
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process and device for braking a wheel, particularly of an aircraft taxiing on the ground. According to the invention, the action on the braking pedal is converted into electrical pulses of constant frequency and of variable duration, then into hydraulic fluid pulses which are then integrated before being applied to the brake.

  • Patent number: 4031840
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for recovering sunken wrecks. More particularly, the present invention concerns a method and apparatus for recovering sunken wrecks wherein a harpoon is launched from a submarine device, implants itself in the wreck and is provided with a rope and means for fastening a pull cable. The end of the rope which is remote from the harpoon is floated to the surface. An apparatus placed at the end of the pull cable is caused to descend along the rope, and at the end of the stroke the apparatus automatically fastens itself to the harpoon. Thereupon, the wreck is pulled up by means of the pull cable.

  • Patent number: 3969903
Abstract: Underwater escape apparatus, intended for use in conjunction with an underwater escape suit provided with means for imparting to the suit an ascent velocity to permit escape from an underwater location to the water surface, comprises, on the one hand, a parachute folded within a container and provided with a pressure responsive member such as a piston, and, on the other hand, a pressure gas cylinder connected to the container by a flexible conduit communicating with the face of the piston opposite the parachute, and equipped with obturating means and means for automatically triggering opening thereof as soon as the immersion depth becomes smaller than a predetermined threshold. Preferably the apparatus includes means for setting the automatic opening device only after the immersion depth has exceeded a predetermined limit beyond which there would be a danger of gaseous embolism taking place during the ascent.
