Abstract: The use in and for the preparation of both cosmetic and/or dermatological compositions comprising at least one amphoteric copolymer that is crosslinked and/or branched and derived, e.g., from a mixture comprising at least one monomer selected from acrylate, methacrylate, acrylamide, and methacrylamide monomers comprising at least one C8-C30 fatty chain. Another subject of the invention is the application of the composition for the treatment of keratinous materials and in particular of the skin, hair, eyelashes, and nails.

Abstract: The subject-matter of the present invention is the use, in and for the preparation of cosmetic or dermatological compositions, of a grafted copolymer, the skeleton (S) of which is composed of a hydrophilic copolymer, with a glass transition temperature Tg greater than 25° C., obtained by radical polymerization or by polycondensation, comprising, on the chain of the skeleton (S), at least one graft composed of a hydrophobic macromonomer (M) with a glass transition temperature T'g of less than 25° C., as well as the cosmetic or dermatological compositions employed.

Abstract: Foaming compositions for washing and conditioning keratinous materials, particularly hair and/or skin, containing at least one silicone, at least one surfactant and at least one dialkylether that is solid at a temperature of about 30.degree. C. and has formula (I):R--O--R' (I)the foaming power of said compositions greater than 50 ml, as well as washing and conditioning methods using said compositions, are disclosed; wherein in formula (I), each of R and R', which are the same or different, is a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated alkyl radical containing 12-30 carbon atoms.

Abstract: Stable cosmetic, dermatological or pharmaceutical composition comprising, in an aqueous medium, selenium disulphide.This composition contains, in a mixture with selenium disulphide, at least one zinc salt in an inorganic or organo-carboxylic acid.Method for the treatment of hair, especially against dandruff.

Abstract: The invention relates to novel pulverulent cosmetic compositions for bleaching hair, containing at least one oxidizing agent selected from peroxidized compounds, and at least one polymer selected from polyethylene glycol, polypropylene glycol, a derivative of polyethylene glycol, and a derivative of polypropylene glycol, where the polymer is present in an amount of 10 to 27% by weight, the polymer is anhydrous and, at room temperature, both liquid and water-soluble. The invention also relates to a process for the preparation of such compositions and to their use for bleaching hair.

Abstract: Cosmetic compositions for bleaching hair comprising at least one oxidizing agent selected from peroxygen compounds and at least one block and/or random linear polyoxyethylene/polyoxypropylene copolymer, the copolymer being anhydrous and, at room temperature, further being both liquid and soluble in water, and the composition being pulverulent and anhydrous. Bleaching powders that are fine, anhydrous, free-flowing, homogeneous, non-dusty, are perfectly dispersible in hydrogen peroxide and have improved cosmetic properties.

Abstract: A process for preparing a pulverulent, anhydrous hair bleaching composition comprises mixing in a non-solvent medium at room temperature a dry bleaching powder of a peroxygen compound oxidizing agent and at least one anhydrous block and/or random polyoxyethylene/polyoxypropylene copolymer which is liquid and water-soluble at room temperature.

Abstract: A compound of the formula:R--NHCOOCH(CH.sub.2 OCH.sub.2 CHOHCH.sub.2 OH).sub.2 (I)wherein R is a C.sub.10 -C.sub.20 alkyl, optionally unsaturated, is employed in the preparation of wax microdispersions useful particularly in cosmetic composition for the hair.

Abstract: Composition for the treatment of acne containing a dispersion of vesicles of ionic or non-ionic amphiphilic lipids, the vesicles containing in the lipid phase at least one salicylic acid derivative of formula (I): ##STR1## in which R represents a linear or branched C.sub.11 -C.sub.17 alkyl radical; R'.sub.1, R'.sub.2, R'.sub.3, which are identical or different, represent a C.sub.1 -C.sub.18 alkyl or hydroxyalkyl radical, it being possible for one of the radicals R'.sub.1, R'.sub.2 or R'.sub.3 to be a benzyl radical. The derivative of formula (I) serves both as charged lipid and as anti-acne active ingredient. The derivatives of formula (I) in which, when R represents a C.sub.13 -C.sub.17 alkyl radical, R'.sub.1, R'.sub.2, R'.sub.3, when they are identical, do not represent a hydroxyethyl radical.

Abstract: The alkyl esters of N-carboalkyloxy-11-aminoundecanoic acids have the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein R is linear or branched C.sub.7-30 alkyl, linear or branched C.sub.4-22 alkenyl or a radical of formula: ##STR2## wherein n is 0 to 5 R" is linear or branched C.sub.7-30 alkyl, andR' is linear C.sub.10-18 alkyl.These esters, and esters wherein R is additionally hydrogen or C.sub.1-6, have an application as thickening agents in organic media particularly in the cosmetic field.

Abstract: A urethane derivative from amino acids has the formula ##STR1## wherein R represents --CH.sub.2 OH, --CHOH--CH.sub.3 or --(CH.sub.2).sub.3 --NH--CO--NHY, Y represents --H or --COOR', R' represents linear or branched alkyl, optionally unsaturated, having 8-24 carbon atoms, or a monocyclic cycloalkyl substituted by an alkyl whose total number of carbon atoms is equal to or greater than 10, or to the salts of the derivative of formula I or to a mixture of the derivatives of formula I and/or their salts. A method is given for the preparation of the urethane derivative of formula I, as are examples of cosmetic or pharmaceutical compositions containing the urethane derivative, as a hydrating agent, for the treatment of dry skin.
