  • Publication number: 20090098352
Abstract: Waterproof, water vapour-permeable multilayer membrane having at least one first and one second layer, with all the layers being made of a thermoplastic polymer from the group of polyether esters, the group of polyether amides or the group of polyether urethanes and being joined together, characterised in that contiguously arranged layers are made of thermoplastic polymers from different groups.

  • Publication number: 20080142428
Abstract: Evaporation reservoir for recovering purified water, with an interior for holding water to be purified, the interior enclosed by walls that are watertight and joined to each other in a watertight manner, at least one wall consisting at least partially of a laminate that has a textile fabric and a watertight, non-porous, and water-vapor permeable membrane, and with an opening for filling the interior, characterized in that at least one edge of the laminate is joined to an edge of the adjacent wall via a tensile-resistant, watertight tape in such a manner that the tensile-resistant, watertight tape is joined on the one hand to the textile fabric and on the other hand watertight to the membrane and extends beyond the edge of the laminate, and the watertight joint with the edge of the adjacent wall is formed exclusively by the part of the watertight tape that extends beyond the laminate.

  • Patent number: 6706413
Abstract: The present invention is a non-porous, breathable membrane of at least polyamide-4,6, with an elongation at rupture of about 250 to about 500% in the longitudinal direction and about 200 to about 500% in the transverse direction. The membrane has a higher heat resistance than a non-porous, breathable membrane made from polyether ester and, if it also contains an antioxidant, passes the oven/watertightness test. If the membrane is produced from a mixture of polyamide-4,6 and about 10 to about 30% by weight polyether amide, the membrane exhibits a surprisingly increased water-vapor permeability. The membrane is usable in the manufacture of thermally protective clothing.
