  • Publication number: 20140155943
Abstract: The present invention relates to a bone implant device, comprising a body having a first part and an opposite second part, the first part and an opposite second part defining a longitudinal axis, the first part including an external thread extending from a cylindrical part to the distal end of the body, the external thread comprising a first thread part having a first radius measured from the longitudinal axis and a second thread part having a second radius measured from the longitudinal axis. The first radius is larger than the second radius, the first thread part is a cutting part, and the second thread part is a contact surface. The first part may include one or more cavities for storing bone fragments while the bone implant is in use.

  • Patent number: 8438761
Abstract: A method for operating two spreader clamps for receiving and holding in pairs pieces of cloth and for spreading out the pieces of cloth before they are delivered to a conveyor, that includes selecting whether the two spreader clamps first spread a piece of cloth about one of two outer centerlines of the conveyor for small-sized pieces of cloth or about a first centerline for large-sized pieces of cloth, feeding a piece of cloth to the spreader clamps, moving the two spreader clamps so as to be situated in relation to the centerline selected, initiating movement of the spreader clamps to either side of the centerline selected to spread the piece of cloth and ascertaining during the spreading about the centerline selected if the piece of cloth is a large-sized piece or a small-sized piece, wherein if an outer centerline is selected and it is ascertained that a piece is a large-sized piece of cloth, moving the two spreader clamps so that the piece of cloth is spread about the first centerline and if the first ce

  • Publication number: 20100242318
Abstract: In an apparatus at least two spreader clamps (10, 11) that are configured for receiving a piece of cloth from two pairs of conveyor clamps (16, 17) that belong to a charger station (14). Typically, three or more charger stations (14) are provided. The operator of the apparatus first assesses whether a given batch of pieces of cloth predominantly contains small-sized pieces of cloth, of which more can sit next to each other on the conveyor belt (6) of the apparatus, or large-sized pieces of cloth that may take up as much space as the full working width of the apparatus. If the apparatus is set to the batch of pieces of cloth predominantly containing small-sized pieces of cloth, the spreader clamps (10, 11) are operated such that, for each single piece of cloth in the portion, they are operated to first spread the clamps to each their side of a centreline for small-sized pieces of cloth.

  • Patent number: 7723900
Abstract: An electro-mechanical wave device which may be used for movement of a mechanical member, e.g. by friction, a motor comprising one or more wave devices, and a method of providing the electro-mechanical wave device. The electro-mechanical wave device comprises a substrate comprising a plurality of conductors, and a plurality of actuators positioned on the substrate for generation of mechanical waves along a predetermined propagation path, each of the actuators being connected to a respective set of the conductors of the substrate for reception of an excitation signal transmitted by the set of conductors.

  • Patent number: 7625261
Abstract: A toy building set with toy building elements with coupling means for releasably interconnecting the toy building elements, which further comprises outer and inner toy building elements with a longitudinal direction. The inner toy building elements are receivable in the outer toy building elements, and the inner toy building elements are slideable in the outer toy building elements along their parallel longitudinal directions. The outer toy building elements can be interconnected in their longitudinal directions to form a composite outer toy building element, and the inner toy building elements can be interconnected in their longitudinal directions to form a composite inner toy building element that can be slideably received in the composite outer toy building element.

  • Publication number: 20090075733
Abstract: An interactive playmat that projects an image of a playmat onto a flat surface is provided. The interactive playmat interactively provides instructions to the game players during play. Some embodiments of the virtual playmat can sense when an action is performed with respect to one of the game pieces on the virtual playmat, and can take into account the position and characteristics of the individual game pieces when formulating the instructions for each play cycle.

  • Publication number: 20080108598
Abstract: The use of substituted amides for modulating the activity of 11?-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1 (11?HSD1) and the use of these compounds as pharmaceutical compositions, are described. Also a novel class of substituted amides, their use in therapy, pharmaceutical compositions comprising the compounds, as well as their use in the manufacture of medicaments are described. The present compounds are modulators and more specifically inhibitors of the activity of 11?HSD1 and may be useful in the treatment, prevention and/or prophylaxis of a range of medical disorders where a decreased intracellular concentration of active glucocorticoid is desirable.
