  • Patent number: 9340132
Abstract: A headrest for a vehicle seat, in particular for a motor vehicle seat, is proposed. The headrest includes a padded part facing the head of a seat occupant, a basic part and a comfort-adjustment device. When the headrest is in use, the padded part can be adjusted by the comfort-adjustment device relative to the basic part from a first position, in which it is further away from the head of the seat occupant, into a second position, closer to the head of the seat occupant. The comfort-adjustment device has two control elements which can be set in a locking position and in an unlocking position, the movement of the control elements being synchronized.

  • Patent number: 8984768
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for drying a piece of textile which is impinged upon by an air flow having a varied partial steam pressure to evacuate moisture. The method and apparatus are particularly suitable for drying a piece of textile with a layered structure having a semi-permeable membrane.

  • Patent number: 8375599
Abstract: A household appliance for drying a laundry item, the household appliance having a treatment chamber and a closed process air circuit to feed process air through the treatment chamber. The process air circuit includes a blower to move the process air; a condenser to condense out moisture in the process air; a heater to heat the process air; a measurement device to determine a temperature of the process air; and a controller to control the blower and the heater as a function of the measurement signal. An analyzer determines an energy requirement to dry the laundry item prior to initiating a drying process for the laundry item. An integrator determines an energy input to the process air via the heater up to a respective measurement time. A comparator compares the energy input with the energy requirement and ends the drying process when the energy input matches the energy requirement.

  • Publication number: 20090293301
Abstract: A device and a method for drying laundry includes an essentially closed channel system for conveying a stream of air that acts on the laundry are a treatment chamber for loading the laundry, a blower to drive the airflow, a heater to heat the airstream before it strikes the laundry, and a cooler to cool the airstream after it strikes the laundry. The airstream flows through a heat pump in the channel system, encompassing a pump unit, a cold branch, and a warm branch, that are joined to each other in parallel and through which the appropriate parts of the airstream can flow in parallel.

  • Publication number: 20070209228
Abstract: A method for drying clothes in a device comprising a rotatable drum for agitating the clothes. Following a drying program, an anti-crease cycle is provided during which the clothes are intermittently agitated. Said anti-crease cycle protects the clothes from permanent creases by regularly agitating them. In order to save energy and to save the clothes and the device, the clothes are only agitated to such a degree during the anti-crease cycle that crease-formation is avoided.

  • Publication number: 20070079526
Abstract: The invention relates to a domestic dryer and a method for detecting a rotary movement of a drum (16) driven by a motor (24), which takes place by means of a device (44) which comprises a capacitive sensor (45). This capacitive sensor (45) has a first conducting armature (46) arranged in a part (50) that rotates with the drum (16) during its rotary movement and a second conducting armature (48) which is arranged fixedly opposite the first conducting armature (46). On the basis of the capacitance variation of the capacitive sensor (45) occurring during the rotary movement of the drum (16) it can therefore be determined whether the drum (16) has stopped due to a fault.
