Patent number: 11848992Abstract: Methods and systems for providing scalable replication of object positions in virtual simulations are described herein. A computing device may determine a current position of an entity in a virtual simulation. The computing device may determine, based on the current position, a time derivative of the current position of the entity. The computing device may query a dictionary for the time derivative to obtain a particular index identifying a time derivative value that corresponds to the time derivative of the current position of the entity. The dictionary may comprise one or more time derivative value pairs associated with time derivatives of one or more previous positions of the entity. When the time derivative of the current position of the entity is in the dictionary, the computing device may encode the particular index. Further, the computing device may send the particular index to a client device.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 2022Date of Patent: December 19, 2023Assignee: Improbable Worlds LimitedInventor: Samuel James Henry Snyder

Publication number: 20220300675Abstract: Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for performing, providing, managing, executing, and/or running a simulation are presented. In one or more embodiments, a computing device may receive one or more changes associated with one of a plurality of entities being simulated. The computing device may determine, based on the one or more changes, one or more component updates associated with the one of the plurality of entities, and determine one or more authority change events occurred on one or more components of the one of the plurality of entities. The computing device may further determine that one or more interest query change events occurred and that one or more interest view change events occurred. The computing device may further determine one or more worker protocol operations, and synchronize, based on the one or more worker protocol operations, view changes with one or more interested workers.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 19, 2021Publication date: September 22, 2022Inventors: Samuel James Henry Snyder, Fabian Andreas Hahn

Patent number: 5137694Abstract: A cleaning system and dispenser are disclosed which feature a reservoir for retaining a liquid detergent solution; a chamber for retaining a mass of solid, dissolvable detergent; a measurement device for measuring the concentration of detergent in the liquid detergent solution; and a flow control device for circulating the liquid detergent solution from the reservoir into contact with the solid detergent so as to dissolve a portion of the solid detergent and increase the concentration of detergent in the liquid detergent solution. The circulation of the liquid detergent solution is in response to a signal from the concentration measuring device that the concentration of detergent in the liquid detergent solution has fallen below a predetermined minimum. The dispenser also includes a measurement device for measuring the volume of solution in the reservoir and for adding fresh water to the reservoir when the volume of solution is below a predetermined minimum.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 1988Date of Patent: August 11, 1992Assignee: Ecolab Inc.Inventors: James L. Copeland, Henry A. Snyder, Sherwood A. Bergseid, Thomas H. Indieke

Patent number: 4865548Abstract: A three-dimensional family tree system displaying family relationships, including lateral lines such as aunts, uncles and cousins, comprises a number of transparent planes in a vertical assembly, one plane for each generation, each plane vertically separated from the planes above and below it by sufficient distance to allow the placement, on each plane, of a number of individual markers. To each marker is affixed the name of a family member of that generation, and each of said markers is connected by a line to the marker or markers for the said family member's parents on the plane above, and, as appropriate, by lines to one or more markers for the said family member's child or children on the plane below.Type: GrantFiled: January 11, 1989Date of Patent: September 12, 1989Inventor: Henry A. Patent number: 4174022Abstract: An orchard lift apparatus including a bicycle-type seat upon which an orchard worker may sit, said seat mounted on an elongated pole passing upward through a sleeve and friction hemisphere, said hemisphere resting within a socketed bridge through which said sleeve passes downward, a cable, attached to said sleeve-hemisphere unit, extends downward, approximately parallel to said pole, and is wound or unwound by the worker, on a drum at the base of said pole, by means of foot pedals. Whereby, the worker may move upward or downward, and may change the attitude of the seat in any direction, two straight poles or tubes constitute the legs, angling inward in an upward direction, the above mentioned socketed bridge rigidly fastened to, and spanning across the tops of said pole legs.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 1977Date of Patent: November 13, 1979Inventor: W. Henry Snyder

Patent number: 4056013Abstract: A transmission for a vehicle of the type having a wheel to which power is to be applied to rotate it and a drive means to provide wheel turning power, includes a cone-shaped member with concentric rings of teeth on its surface adapted to be concentrically attached to the wheel to be powered, and a drive sprocket ring encircling the axis of the cone-shaped member and having engagement means thereon adapted to cooperate with a selected ring of teeth on the cone-shaped member. A shifting means is adapted to shift the sprocket ring so that the engagement means may engage any of the rings of teeth selected. The ring of teeth selected determines the ratio of the transmission.Type: GrantFiled: February 11, 1976Date of Patent: November 1, 1977Assignee: W. Henry SnyderInventor: W. Henry Snyder
