  • Publication number: 20060265803
Abstract: A hydromassaging bathing tub is provided with jets disposed at various locations about side walls thereof. At least some of these jets are oriented to generate massaging water flows over a bottom wall of the bathing tub. A seat is secured between opposed ones of the side walls of the tub whereby to support the buttocks of a bather seated thereon at an elevated position over the bottom wall whereby the massaging water flows which are directed over the bottom wall will massage the bather from underneath portions of its body.

Abstract: An electromagnetic treatment system and method of use in combination with a bathtub or shower enclosure and preferably, but not exclusively, a therapeutic type enclosure provided with a therapeutic device to subject a user person to a therapeutic treatment, as well as an electromagnetic treatment. The electromagnetic treatment system comprises an electromagnetic coil attached to an outside surface of the wall of the therapeutic enclosure and surrounds a space in the enclosure where a user person is disposed to undergo an electromagnetic treatment. A pulsating voltage generator is connected to the electromagnetic coil for generating a pulsating electromagnetic about the coil. The electromagnetic field is oriented relative to the space. • Publication number: 20030172721
Abstract: A system for performing chromotherapy in a bathtub, comprising a light source having light emitting diodes of three different colours for emitting a resultant coloured light output. An intensity of each colour of the light emitting diodes being controllable individually for varying a colour of the resultant coloured light output. The light source is adapted to be mounted to a wall of a bathtub so as to diffuse light in water filling the bathtub. A control module is connected to a power source and to the light source, for controlling the intensity of each of the light emitting diodes to vary a colour of the resultant coloured light output emitted by the light source and diffused in the water of the bathtub.

  • Patent number: 6477724
Abstract: A hydro massage bathtub enclosure is provided with conduits interconnecting air jet holes provided in the sidewalls, end or bottom wall of the bathtub enclosure. One or more curved cavities are disposed below one or more of the air jet holes to create a turbulent air flow in the area of the curved cavity whereby to expel any residual water accumulated in the curved cavity after the water level in the bathtub enclosure has been lowered below the air jet holes with the conduit pressurized by air from the blower to purge the conduit. A water evacuating conduit may also be connected in such cavities for the evacuation of residual water therefrom.

  • Patent number: 6317903
Abstract: A hydro massaging tub is used for massage treatment wherein the treatment is performed by ozone-mixed warm air or water jets distributed adjacent the bottom wall of the tub all about its circumference. Ozone generated by an ozone generator is injected in an air distribution duct to sterilize the air distribution system and help clean the skin of the bather's body. The oxygen liberated in the water and the air improves the quantity of oxygen in the bather's environment so that oxygen intake through the skin and lungs is facilitated. A mobile air jet and section control of the air jets enable the bather to massage selective body areas with adjustable intensity of sections of the massage to achieve a desired effect. In one embodiment, orientable valves are mounted in the air jet holes for adjusting the orientation of the air jets. In another embodiment, optical fibers or light emitting diodes are provided to emit light frequencies in the water turbulence for physiological and therapeutic effects.

  • Patent number: 5930851
Abstract: A hydro-thermo massaging tub and method of massage treatment wherein the treatment is performed by warm air jets distributed adjacent the bottom wall of the tub all about its circumference. Air jets are formed by holes made in the tub wall with the longitudinal axis of the holes oriented less than 45.degree. from the plane of the bottom wall. The jets communicate with an air distribution duct which is fed hot air under pressure by a blower. Controls are also provided to vary the pressure of the air as well as the temperature thereof. Warm air jets are released in the water contained within the tub to impart turbulence in the body of water to create acupressure massaging flows of warm air jets and water flows from opposed sidewalls and end walls of the tub towards a central area of least turbulence which is occupied by the body of a person. The acupressure massaging flows perform a massaging action all about the body simultaneously.
