  • Patent number: 9750665
Abstract: A feeding tube aperture supported and aligned with a feeding tube opening in an abdominal wall of a patient, including a base having a first end surface transverse to an axis of the base and a feeding tube, a second opposed end surface, a central feeding tube passage extending between the first and second end surfaces, a plurality of vent passages around the feeding tube passage and extending between the first and second end surfaces, a hollow, cylindrical feeding tube support extension centered on and extending outwardly from the feeding tube passage to support and align the feeding tube aperture, and a plurality of spaced apart resilient spacers extending outwards from the second end surface. The plurality of spaced apart resilient spacers resiliently space the second end surface from the abdominal wall and form a plurality of air passages to allow a flow of air around the abdominal wall and the feeding tube opening.

  • Publication number: 20130090601
Abstract: The present invention is a plastic feeding tube aperture utilized during a gavage process that includes a generally domed base that receives the feeding tube, a flange that is disposed below the generally domed base and a plurality of uniformly spaced feeding apertures that include 4 large apertures and one small aperture that are disposed on the generally domed base and extend through the feeding tube aperture. The feeding tube aperture also includes a generally cylindrical shaped plastic tube anchor that secures the feeding tube aperture in place within a feeding opening disposed on a user's body and one or more foam booties that are placed between the feeding tube aperture and the feeding opening to comfortably secure the feeding tube aperture within the feeding opening.

  • Patent number: 4472098
Abstract: Torque limiting clamping means comprises a cylindrical unthreaded screw-thread engaging clamping member of elastomeric material screwed on a rigid screw threaded member at an interference fit. The interference fit, the pitch and dimensions of the screw thread, and the physical characteristics of the elastomeric material are preselected to enable deformation of the elastomeric material resiliently within its elastic limit into the thread groove of the rigid member to accommodate the interference fit and to cause screw induced relative axial movement of the members to a limit of axial travel, whereupon the elastomeric material flows axially across the screw thread to terminate the axial travel and to effect a resilient reaction against the screw thread which results in an axial clamping force and a radial thread-locking force against the thread predetermined by the maximum allowable torque.

  • Patent number: 4472097
Abstract: Torque limiting clamping and sealing means comprise a cylindrical unthreaded screw-thread engaging clamping member of elastomeric material screwed on a rigid screw threaded member at an interference fit. An annular abutment around the clamping member engages a stop fixed with respect to the rigid member at a predetermined limit of screw induced axial travel to effect said limit of travel. A thin, flexible annular sealing lip around the clamping member and spaced radially from the abutment sealingly engages a surface fixed with respect to the rigid member prior to said limit of axial travel.

  • Patent number: 4335873
Abstract: A toggle clamp has a bolt carried by a swinging clamping arm for generally axially and limited arcuate movement in a clamping operation against a workpiece. The clamping end of the bolt is removably secured within a socket in a polyurethane work engaging bumper and seated against the socket base. By virtue of the physical characteristics of the polyurethane and interference fit between the bolt and the socket wall throughout an appreciable axial extent, the assembled bolt and bumper are capable of withstanding the axial and radial forces of repeated clamping operations and outwearing comparable assemblies available heretofore without recourse to a chemical bond between the bolt and bumper or an enlarged force distributing bolt head as has been required heretofore.
