  • Publication number: 20070187439
Abstract: A hanger arrangement in accordance with an embodiment of the present application includes a hanger including a hanger body, a hook member and a peripheral rib extending outward from the hanger body and the hook member and an indicator device removably attached on a side of the hanger body at a point where the hanger body and the hook member join, the indicator device including locating means associated with the indicator device operable to attach the indicator device to the peripheral rib of the hanger such that the indicator device is secured at the point where the hanger body and the hook member join. The locating means may include at least one abutment member extending partially into the groove and structured to fit against the hanger body, a stub structured to clip over the peripheral rib of the hanger.

  • Publication number: 20070062984
Abstract: An indicator for a hanger includes a body having side walls and joining end walls, openings at opposing top and bottom ends, and a passage extending through the body and joining the openings. The indicator may be positioned around a hook of the hanger such that the hook extends from the opening at the top end of the body. The indicator may also include an attachment mechanism for securing the indictor to the hanger. Alternatively or in addition, the hanger may include a mechanism for securing the indictor to the hanger. Information may be displayed on one or more of the side walls and end walls of the indicator.

  • Patent number: 7100807
Abstract: A pinch-grip hanger includes an elongated body with at least one pinch-grip positioned along the body. A pinch-grip has two opposed legs that meet at a pivot axis and the ends of the legs are movable about the pivot axis. At least one of the two opposed legs has a gripping tooth located on the lower end of the legs. A biasing force is exerted on the two opposed legs by a biasing mechanism. Pinching the upper ends of the front leg rearwardly overcomes the biasing force and separates the lower ends of the legs, thereby opening the pinch-grip.

  • Patent number: 6896163
Abstract: A pinch-grip hanger includes an elongated body with first and second pinch-grips positioned along the body. Each pinch-grip has a stationary back leg and a front leg movable about a pivot axis, with single gripping portions at the lower ends thereof. An inverted U-shaped spring applies a force near the lower ends of the legs to bias the gripping portions thereof toward each other. Moving the upper ends of the front leg rearwardly separates the gripping portions, thereby opening the pinch-grip. Spacers at opposite sides of the legs extend in the front-to-back direction a sufficient distance so that contact with another hanger on a rack will not move the upper ends of the legs toward each other a sufficient distance to release an item being held by the gripping portions. Opposed overlapping barriers extend from the front and back legs just below the pivot axis. These shield an item held by the hanger from the area near the pivot axis.

  • Publication number: 20050067447
Abstract: A fabric clip for gripping a fabric includes a stationary retaining arm, a spring arm, and a connecting portion joining the spring arm and the stationary retaining arm to bias the spring arm with respect to the stationary retaining arm. A blocking member is configured to prevent the fabric, such as a garment, from contacting the connecting portion when the fabric is inserted between the spring arm and the stationary retaining arm.
