Abstract: A hospital bed device is presented which includes hydraulic cylinders for lifting rollers positioned along each side of the bed. The rollers are driven by fractional horsepower electric motors and an endless belt is connected to the rollers whereby a patient lying thereon can be lifted and moved as the belt turns. The device provides a safe and convenient method to turn bedridden patients that otherwise may develop bed sores, pneumonia, or other consequential ailments.
