  • Publication number: 20180125709
Abstract: A device for assisting the placement of drops in the eyes includes a pair of sunglasses having left and right dark tinted lenses; each of the lenses has an aperture formed therethrough for alignment with the left and right eyes when the sunglasses are worn by the user. An insert is fitted within each aperture with the use of an adhesive or by snap-fit attachment. Each insert includes an annular rim on the exterior surface of the lens surrounding the aperture and providing a seat for receipt of an eye dropper nozzle therein. Each insert may further include a tubular extension that passes through the aperture to approximately the thickness of the lens.

  • Publication number: 20100005753
Abstract: A method of producing a simulated natural surface, such as stone, tile, brick or wood planking uses all environmentally friendly components. First, a water-based polymer liquid is applied to the existing surface using a roller. Next, a self-leveling mixture of water, polymer, cement and sand is applied with minimal trowelling in order to spread the mixture evenly over the surface. The applied mixture settles in a self-leveling manner. When partially cured, a desired grout pattern is scored in the applied cementous mixture to create the desired pattern (i.e., brick, stone, tile, wood planking). Next, the entire surface is painted with a prime coat of an acrylic paint including the scored grout lines. Once the prime coat dries, shading containing an organic oxide pigment is applied using a sponge.

  • Patent number: 4868018
Abstract: Hard, durable, water-resistant simulated marble products are made by coating a support surface with a mixture of epoxy resin, epoxy resin hardener, pigment and a powdered material such as portland cement, powdered clay, a mix of portlant cement and lime, powdered lime, a mix of portland cement and silica sand or mixtures thereof. After the coating is applied a water-based acrylic polymer with pigment or pigments of selected color is applied with a brush or similar means in selected areas and then troweled or feathered to give the desired marbleizing effect. The product is then allowed to harden. The resultant product is hard, durable, water-resistant, easily washable and resembles marble.

  • Patent number: 4733476
Abstract: A synthetic brick wall facing on an existing wall is made by applying to the degreased wall an aqueous acrylic resin emulsion which when dry is then coated with an aqueous creamy mixture of portand cement, lime and perlite. Horizontal scoring of the cementitious wall surface to simulate bricks is accomplished by nailing to the wall two vertical guides having slots, inserting a straight member into selected slots and scoring horizontally along the upper edge of the straight member. The vertical guide comprises two sections of identical construction which nest in one another and are detachably connected by a bolt extending through pre-formed holes.

  • Patent number: 4699834
Abstract: A intermediate floor which shields a cementitious or tile top floor from the cracking of the original floor and comprises an asphaltic layer having on its upper surface finely divided stone and an open mesh layer on the stone layer. Where the original floor is concrete, the mesh layer is flexible plastic. Where the original floor is wood, the mesh layer is galvanized metal, staples being provided to hold the asphalt and mesh layers on the original floor.

  • Patent number: 4349588
Abstract: A method for making simulated brick or tile wall or floor using cement, water-based adhesive and water-insoluble powdered pigment. The mixture is applied and then partially set. Scoring indentations are made to remove cement. After being completely set, mortar is placed in the indentations as a grout and allowed to set. The final step is a clear water-resistant coating on the entire surface.
