  • Patent number: 4596811
Abstract: The invention relates to special heterocyclic compounds corresponding to general tautomeric formula I which are distinguished by improved antagonistic activity on histamine-H.sub.2 -receptors. The invention also relates to a process for producing these compounds and to medicaments containing them.

  • Patent number: 4559344
Abstract: The invention relates to new pyridine-pyrimidinone derivatives corresponding to the following general formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents linear C.sub.1-6 alkyl or cycloalkyl and R.sup.2 represents linear C.sub.1-6 alkyl or R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 together with the nitrogen atom form a pyrrolidine or piperidine ring;Alk represents a linear alkylene chain C.sub.1-6 ;Q represents a benzene ring, furan ring, thiophene ring or thiazole ring;X represents oxygen, Y is a single bond and m is 2, 3 or 4 when Q represents benzene;X represents methylene, Y represents sulfur and m is 2 or 3 when Q is furan, thiophene or thiazole; andR.sup.3 represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group. These compounds show improved H.sub.2 -antagonistic activity.

  • Patent number: 4471487
Abstract: To avoid loss of temperature of a melt contained in casting ladles in a continuous casting operation, an independently rotatable platform adapted to receive a heating device is disposed on a slewing column of a slewing tower for ladles. The heating device is similar to that of an arc melting furnace and comprises a vertically adjustable electrode holder of outrigger configuration whose guide column is arranged eccentrically on the platform so that a current carrying cable can be installed to extend centrally through the platform and through the slewing column. The cables are secured by a clamping plate at a perpendicular distance from the platform, such that the electrode holder, as seen from the casting position, can pivot in both pivoting directions through approximately 180.degree., without the cable tearing as a result of twisting.

  • Patent number: 4444341
Abstract: A transport device for rapidly changing ladles for the continuous supply of metal melt to continuous casting plants by means of a reciprocating ladle bogie which is provided with means for receiving a sintle ladle. The bogie is moved between an operative position and an inoperative position, the bogie is positioned above a support from which an emptied casting ladle can be removed. In the operative position, the bogie is positioned above a casting station for supplying metal melt. The ladle bogie is open on the side nearest to the support and is rapidly driven back and forth between the inoperative and operative positions to provide a filled ladle from a crane and thereafter move an empty ladle to the support stand-by position for removal by the crane.

  • Patent number: 4199084
Abstract: Supporting apparatus for a foundry ladle has a vertical support member on which are rotatably mounted a number of horizontal support members. A ladle carrier is provided at the outer end of each horizontal support member. The carrier comprises spaced parallel carrier arms with respective parallelogram linkages mounting the arms on the support member so as to project beyond the end thereof in a vertically movable manner. Lateral brackets extend from the support member in flanking relationship with the carrier arms for guiding a foundry ladle into a position in which it is ready to be received by the carrier.
