  • Publication number: 20110167958
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments are directed to an actuating drive. The actuating drive includes an electric motor that is operatively connected to a fitting via a device unit and a transmission unit that is equipped with a manual device. The drive unit combines functional units of the manual drive, the brake, the manual drive and a displacement feedback of the brake in an attachable housing.

  • Publication number: 20110120264
Abstract: A manual drive is provided for an electric-motor actuating drive for controlling fittings for process automation. The manual drive includes a constraining transmission, whose output drive can be operatively connected for braking purposes to the motor shaft, such that force can be transmitted, via a detachable clutch which is operable electrically.

  • Publication number: 20100108923
Abstract: An electropneumatic transducer is disclosed having a pneumatic pressure-regulating valve for regulating a control pressure in a pressure chamber by a regulator diaphragm, which rests on (e.g., against a counter-bearing). The counter-bearing can include at least one pressure disk, a regulator spring and an adjusting screw, the regulator diaphragm being held in force equilibrium by the regulator spring and the control pressure. The regulator diaphragm can be coupled to a control valve such that the control valve opens or closes as a function of actual control pressure. The counter-bearing can include an electrically drivable actuator.

  • Publication number: 20090014967
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a sealing arrangement for interference radiation-proof connecting of housing elements of electric operating equipment, especially for field housings of programmable controllers. For a sealing arrangement between a first housing section and a second housing section, wherein the first housing section has an encompassing slot into which a rubber-elastic seal is inserted, it is proposed to locate a gap, which is constructed as a labyrinth, before the rubber-elastic seal towards the outer side of the housing, and to locate in each case a flat metallic uncoated sealing face before the rubber-elastic seal towards the inner side of the housing.

  • Patent number: 6745997
Abstract: A method of and apparatus for operating an actuator which is used to open and close valves in pipelines in order to avoid pressure surges and resonances during the closing operation in pipelines to be shut off. The closing operation of the valve is subdivided into two closing phases (S1 and S2). During the first closing phase (S1), the actuating element is moved at maximum actuating speed down to a predefinable position (P) of the actuating element, starting from the open state of the valve. From this position (P), the actuating speed of the actuating element is reduced continuously and steplessly with a predefinable gradient. Additionally when the actuating speed in the second closing phase is reduced to a predefinable constant value the method and apparatus may include a third phase during which the actuator maintains that speed value until the valve is closed.

  • Patent number: 6424108
Abstract: A method for operating an actuating drive for controlling fittings. The actuating drive has an electric motor which is fed from a frequency converter and moves a fitting with a predetermined torque via a self-locking gearbox. In order to protect the actuating drive against unacceptable, destructive heating while maintaining operation in the surrounding process installation when an excess temperature occurs, the temperature of the actuating drive is measured during continuous operation, and the rotation speed of the electric motor is reduced as a function of the measured temperature while maintaining the torque. To this end, the amplitude and the frequency of the output voltage of the frequency converter are reduced in proportion to one another.
