  • Patent number: 8232483
Abstract: A method and a device for weighing weighable goods placed in a bag (24) having a filling opening (25) are characterized according to this invention in that the bag (24) is hung from a load suspension part (13) with an area of the bag adjacent to the filling opening (25) and the weight force corresponding to the weighable goods is transferred from here to a load cell (4) which forms a corresponding weight value.

  • Patent number: 8109683
Abstract: A method and device for improving the handling, in a label printer, of labels without a carrier strip operates by reversing the direction of transport of the label medium for a short distance before transporting the medium in the printing direction, allowing the label strip to reliably detach from a transport roller (10) that is used to guide the label strip through the printer.

  • Publication number: 20100092035
Abstract: The invention concerns an apparatus for automatic recognition of objects, which includes a device for capturing images of one object, or of a plurality of objects, which are to be recognized. The objects to be evaluated are manually introduced into a field of view of said camera. The invented apparatus possesses an image recognition device, whereby, from an image of an object within the field of view of the camera, an identification-signal representing the object is generated. The data acquired therefrom can serve, for example, a weighing scale, which has been equipped with the invented automatic recognition apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20080232893
Abstract: Label printers for labels without a carrier strip are problematic in that the self-adhesive coated surface (4) of the label strip to be printed is bared as it passes through the printer and is guided over a roller (10) used to transport said label strip through the printer, from which it must be released in order to be discharged at the outlet (15) of the printer. According to the invention, the label strip is transported back for a short time in the opposite direction, before the transport thereof in the printing direction, thus being reliably detached from the transport roller (10).

  • Patent number: 7053316
Abstract: A weighing device for handling sales transactions in a retail store, with several functional units, each one among the functional units being linked to at least another one among the functional units by a signal communications system. At least one of unit has a load cell for producing an electric signal proportional to the weight of an object placed on the load cell for weighing. At least one unit has an evaluation unit for forming a weight value expressed in a system of units from the weight signal supplied via the given signal communications system. At least one unit has a display unit for displaying the weight value and a total price of the object supplied via the given signal communications system. Also, at least one unit has a control unit for memorizing an article number and an associated unit price of the object and for controlling the operation of the weighing device so as to calculate the total price by multiplication of the unit price with the weight value after the article number is entered.

  • Patent number: 6900396
Abstract: The invention pertains to a device, especially a measuring device, for handling individual processes, in the course of which at least one value is generated, with a characterization unit, which can be operated to generate characterizing signals for characterizing the individual processes, and with a unit for assigning the values generated during the handling of the individual processes to the processes characterized by the characterizing signals, where the characterization unit has a receiver for receiving the identification signals which are generated in the vicinity of the device during the handling of the individual processes and which identify the processes, on the basis of which identification signals the characterizing signals are generated

  • Patent number: 6810801
Abstract: A problem associated with label printers for liner-free labels is that the self-adhesive coated surface (4) of the label strip to be printed is exposed as it passes through the printer and is guided over a roller (10) that transports the label strip through the printer. Said strip must be released from the roller to be issued at the exit (15) of the printer. According to the invention, instead of the provision of conventional scraper elements downstream of the roller (10), the label strip is embossed, which counteracts the tendency of the label strip to become wound around the roller (10), thus enabling the label strip to be detached from the roller (10) in a reliable manner.
