  • Publication number: 20100154329
Abstract: A window assembly that includes a window frame is described. The window frame includes, in an exemplary embodiment, a plurality of frame members joined together at joints to form the frame, and a plurality of sealant blocks, with one sealant block positioned at each of the joints. Each sealant block includes an inner surface, an outer surface, an upper surface and a lower surface. The sealant block also includes a set-back ledge in the inner surface extending the length of the sealant block adjacent one of the upper surface or the lower surface. The set-back ledge is defined by a recessed portion of the inner surface and a recessed portion of the upper surface or a recessed portion of the lower surface. The sealant block further includes a plurality of filler holes extending through the sealant block from the outer surface to the recessed portion of the inner surface.

  • Patent number: 5739464
Abstract: An enclosure and latching structure for the cable compartment of a tank for a padmounted distribution transformer. The enclosure is of non-conductive fire resistant material. A curved latch arm of non-conductive material is pivotally connected to support structure mounted on the front tank panel of the transformer above the midpoint thereof. The enclosure is shaped to conceal the cable compartment of the tank and is open at the back for engaging the periphery of the tank panel. The enclosure has an opening in the front adjacent the top thereof through which extends a locking device secured to the enclosure for mating with locking structure carried at the free end of the latch arm.

  • Patent number: 5684446
Abstract: A transformer core-coil frame attachment and ground. The core-coil is mounted on a metal frame with flanges extending along the bottom of the frame. Nonconductive support members in the form of channels are mounted on the flanges of the cross member to support the coil to relieve stresses and reduce the no-load electrical losses. The nonconductive support members have a profile shaped for ease in receiving and retaining the support members on the flanges of the cross member. The frame has an opening in the bottom for receiving a mounting boss protruding above the tank bottom of the transformer to locate the core-coil within the tank and resist movement of the core-coil within the tank in a horizontal plane. A compressible grounding structure is attached to the bottom of the core which allows for variation between the core and frame.

  • Patent number: 5025949
Abstract: In a transformer housing assembly including a tank and a base supporting the tank, the tank being arranged to contain a body of oil and a transformer the tank and base are secured together, subsequent to individual fabrication thereof, by a plurality of fastening devices. Each fastening device includes an attachment member which is permanently fastened to an upwardly projecting recess formed in the tank bottom, the attachment member being dimensioned to not extend below the portions of the tank bottom surrounding the recess, and the attachment being provided with an internally threaded lined bore. each fastening device further includes a clamping member extending across the associated recess in the tank bottom and a bolt which passes through an opening in the clamping member and engages in the threaded line bore in order to cause the clamping member to clamp a flange provided at the upper end of the base to the tank bottom.

  • Patent number: 4963696
Abstract: A tamper-resistant three-phase padmounted transformer is provided including a tank having electrical connections mounted on one wall thereof, and a cabinet fixedly attached to the tank forming a cabinet-to-tank interface therebetween. An elongated P-shaped gasket is positioned at the interface so as to completely fill such interface, and a rib is secured to the cabinet for overlying the interface to form a tamper-resistant cabinet-to-tank interface which prevents the intrusion of extraneous objects into the interior of the cabinet.
