Abstract: Illumination assembly for providing a Christmas tree impression, comprising at least two bands which in a set up condition of the illumination assembly, seen in side view of the illumination assembly, bound a triangular area. At least one string of lights extends zigzag in the associated triangular area and is connected via light string fastening elements with the bands. With the aid of band fastening elements and top fastening means, the bands are positioned and kept in a tensed condition relative to a fixed external object, such as a pole, a wall, a door and/or a tree. The illumination assembly is arranged to be brought from a packaged condition to the set up condition and vice versa.
