Abstract: A roll assembly for increasing a surface area of a fluid, in particular for water treatment, including at least one shaft which in each case bears at least one roll, a drive for the at least one shaft, a fluid feed which is arranged above the respective roll and guides the fluid to the respective roll, and a collecting trough for the fluid, the collecting trough being assigned to the respective roll, wherein the roll has two lateral surfaces in the shape of cylinder jackets which are spaced apart in the radial direction, are each in the form of a mesh and project on the bottom side of the roll into the collecting trough.

Abstract: A method for water treatment, wherein the water for treatment is conducted by a conveying device from an inlet to an outlet via multiple treatment stages, wherein at least one of the treatment stages is an oxidation stage in which foreign matter situated in the water is oxidized by an oxidant which is added to the water in or upstream of the oxidation stage, and at least one of the treatment stages to which the water is fed after the processing by the at least one oxidation stage is a separation stage in which foreign matter situated in the water after processing in the at least one oxidation stage is precipitated and separated off by addition of at least one separating agent, in particular of a flocculant and/or of activated carbon.

Abstract: Disclosed are a method and an installation for generating effective energy by gasifying waste. In the method and installation, waste such as garbage is introduced into a shaft-type melting gasifier, is dried in a reverse flow, is degassed, and is gasified while the solid residue is melted. The hot crude gases that are withdrawn from the melting gasifier (15) are fed to a hot gas steam generator (18) in which steam is admixed to the hot gas and the hot gas-steam mixture is conducted across the double turbine rotor (18.13) of a turbine (18.3) that drives a power generator (18.4), a preliminary reaction taking place at the same time. The pre-purified hot gas-steam mixture is then introduced into a downflow device (38) in which the mixture is cooled and pre-purified using sprayed water mixed with reactant and by repeatedly expanding, compressing, and foaming the mixture, the pre-purified gas being withdrawn and the liquid being collected.

Abstract: A device for purification of contaminated liquid includes (a) a prepurification tank in which raw water to be purified and foaming reagent are introduced and mixed and the pH value is adjusted, whereby prepurified water is obtained; (b) at least one tower-shaped main purification block, wherein each of the at least one tower-shaped main purification blocks, includes, arranged vertically one under another; (i) a drum station for combined gas and water scrubbing by foaming; (ii) a defoaming station; (iii) an ionization station; and (iv) a collecting tank for collecting resultant purified water; (c) a separating device in which sludge from the purification tanks is introduced; and (d) at least one afterpurification filtering device connected to the collecting tank of the main purification block by a supply line and wherein a pure water outlet line extends from the at least one afterpurification filtering device.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an installation for treating liquids, especially for purifying contaminated water. Said method consists of the following steps: the raw water is pre-purified by adding a foam-forming reaction agent; the pre-purified water undergoes a main purification process by foaming the water with ionising radicals contained in the exhaust from the subsequent steps, in a known perforated cylinder washer, the foam formed is eliminated; the de-foamed water is ionised; and the impurities in the purified water are sedimented. The purified water is then additionally purified, the mud consisting of impurities from the pre-purification and the main purification process is physically separated, and the transformation of raw water into purified water is carried out continuously.
